Donna's POV
You walk into your kitchen and fix yourself a cup of tea and Angie some crackers. Speaking of which, the living doll came flying in, screeching like a banshee as she chased some of the other dolls.
"Angie please leave the others alone, I have your snack ready." you whisper
You weren't the most vocal person, and when you did speak, it was only a whisper.
"Finnneee." Angie grumbled before sitting on the counter
"Angie..." the doll looked at you, giving her full attention, "What are we going to do about Miranda?"
"What do you mean Donna?"
"Like do we forgive her or what? I mean she was so sweet before Misty's passing, but after she just..."
"Drifted?"
"Ya..."
"I think we should give her another chance, but only if Y/N is okay with it. She's the one that almost got killed by her after all."
"You're right, but then what after?"
"Go talk to Miranda, or at least through me."
"But what if-"
"Donna, stop. You need to just take it one step at a time and don't overthink."
You sigh before answering, "Alright Angie."
When you finish your tea and Angie finishes her crackers you go to the phone and dial Alcina's phone. It rings for a moment before Alcina picks it up, or well, Y/N.
"Hello?"
You quickly hand the phone to Angie, too anxious to speak.
"Hey Y/N!"
"Oh hello Angie, did you need something?"
"Umm yes Donna wanted to ask you something about Miranda."
"Okay...?"
"She wants to know if you're okay with us giving her another chance...?"
"Of course Angie. It's ultimately your decision whether or not you want to reconnect with her. I won't force you to ghost her."
"Okay thank you Y/N!"
"You're welcome Angie and Donna."
With that Y/N hung up and Angie floated up into your arms.
"Soooo?" she dragged out
You give a sigh and nod your head. Angie squealed in excitement and you both went to your personal carriage and made your way to Miranda's house.
After A While
You finally make it to Miranda's house and your anxiety was through the roof, the only thing keeping you sane at the moment was Angie. You grip the doll tight as the carriage comes to a stop. You had let Misty know beforehand that you were coming, but to not tell Miranda, per Angie's request. You carefully walk out the carriage and hesitantly knock on the front door.
You hear the scramble of feet and a faint coming before the door swings open revealing a very tired looking Misty. Her white hair was in a messy ponytail. She was wearing a simple short sleeve beige dress that went all the way down to her ankles. She looks at you and smiles, you realize how much you missed seeing that smile. You smile back and enter the house and Misty shuts the door behind you. Misty takes you to the kitchen, your shoes and her bare feet making no noise. Miranda was washing dishes grumbling to herself as she did so.
You could see a hint of mischief in Misty's eyes as she looked at Angie, the doll looked at her and as if a secret code was exchanged Angie flew out your arms and floated behind the still grumbling Miranda. Unaware of the doll behind her Angie spoke, effectively startling the woman.
"Hi Miranda!" Angie screeched
Miranda screamed and pressed her back against the counter. She narrowed her eyes at the doll before widening them to surprise. Her eyes quickly found yours and a smile tugged at her lips.
"Hello Donna. I didn't expect you to be here." she muttered as she turned her face away, hiding her smile.
All you could do was awkwardly wave, making sure to keep your eyes to the ground. You all fell into an uncomfortable silence as you fidgeted from foot to foot. You wanted to break the tense silence, but didn't know what to say. You could see Misty look between the two of you, she patted your back in silent encouragement before stepping behind you, but not leaving the room completely. Finally gaining a sliver of confidence, you bring Angie to you and use her to speak.
"Miranda." The doll croaked. Her voice not her own.
Miranda looked at you, her icy blue eyes dancing in a silent plea to say something, anything.
"We want to start over, but on our terms."
Miranda eagerly nodded, her eyes full of excitement.
"O-on what terms Donna?"
"One. Please don't drop by my house unless it's an emergency. Two. Do not ask me to do any experiments for you, I'm done with those. And finally three. If you hurt anyone ever again I'll kill you myself."
Miranda nodded slowly, taking it all in.
"I can do that Donna, just please give me another chance?" she whispered
"We will see Miranda...only time will tell."
She gave a nod before you turned to walk away. Before you could walk away Angie flew out of your arms again, this time floating to Misty.
"Can you make cookies!" she screeched
"Angie!" you whisper shouted
Misty laughed, but nodded your head to your surprise. She turned to you, seemingly sensing your worry and panic.
"Of course Angie, but it will take a while, so I'll just drop them off at your house when they're done."
Angie squealed like a little girl before floating back into your arms. You silently thank Misty before leaving Miranda's home and returning to yours.
