Chapter 23: The Truth

Alcina's POV

You sit at your vanity and begin writing in your journal. Y/N had woken up from her short nap and peeked her head from under the bed, her glowing emerald eyes watching you carefully. You give her a small smile from the mirror, making sure you didn't startle her. You suddenly heard a small knock on the door, Y/N looked at the door and gave a small whimper, but otherwise didn't move.

"Enter." you called out in a stern voice

Cassandra slowly opened the door and scanned the room, when her eyes landed on Y/N her face showed sympathy. She walked into your room and gently shut the door, she slowly walked up to you, making sure not to startle the already timid Y/N. She had rage in her eyes when she handed you a journal, you looked at it confused.

"Just read it." she muttered, rage dripping like venom in her tone

You flip open the journal to the most recent dates. Your eyes widen as you read the context. Whoever the owner was, whoever she was, she was going to pay, you close the journal with force and look at your daughter. It was hard to contain your rage and disgust.

"Who?" you simply asked

"A maid named K. You already killed her. She's the maid you sliced to ribbons last night."

You rose from your seat, your hands balled into fist and shaking with rage. You punch at the nearby wall, creating a loud bang sound. Removing your fist there was a hole in the wall, cracks surrounding the area where you punched. You heard the scared yelp from Y/N and looked at her, she was still watching you, but she was shaking uncontrollably, you left the room before you scared Y/N more, Cassandra following you close behind, still carrying that horrid journal.

Cassandra's POV

Mother was rightfully furious and disgusted when she read the journal. She even punched a hole in the wall, seeing Y/N scared made your heart break and as your mother left the room, most likely to avoid scaring Y/N farther, you followed close behind, making sure to take the journal with you. Your sisters came buzzing in and asked why mother was so angry, you stopped as your mother continued to storm off.

"Cass what happened?" Dani asked

You just handed them the journal and they opened it to read it. Their faces turned from confused to disgust, then lastly anger.

"Who and where?" Bela said in a low voice

"A maid named K and she's already dead." you reply, "Sliced to ribbons by mother."

"Well there had to be others that helped this K." Dani said with murderous intent, "To get even remotely close to Y/N would require help."

You smile, not a normal smile, a smile that meant there was a hunt.

"Let's go catch us some mice." you say

You all start laughing, your laughs soon turning into mad cackling as you all buzzed away, ready to murder the others that had a part in hurting Y/N.

Alcina's POV

I burst into Vallery's room, she squealed from the loud noise and her face turned pale when she saw me. I grabbed her throat and threw her to a nearby wall, she landed with a crash and cowered before me.

"How dare you lay a hand on Y/N!" you bellowed, your voice shook the walls

Vallery squeaked and she shrank under your gaze. Her gray hair hiding her face as she trembled uncontrollably.

"Why would you slap her!" you yelled

Vallery flinched and didn't answer right away, which only made you more angry.
