Y/n's P.O.V
We arrived a safe distance away from the battle scene, watching from a distance as Monkey King fought Lady Bone Demon.

"So, this is the power of the Lady Bone Demon. I'd heard tales, but I've never experienced it firsthand. Even from here, I can feel her wretched aura." Nezha said, looking at the Bone Demon mech, and the ice all around.

"Not the only one, Lotus Boy."

"I fear Monkey King was tight. The Samadhi Fire's the best chance we have at stopping her. The fool never should've taken off on his own. Let's make this quick. Get in, get Monkey King, and regroup with the others." Nezha turned to us.

"Wait! What if... what if Monkey King is better off without us? What if we just get in the way?" MK said, unsure of if we help or not.

I sighed, putting my hand on his shoulder. "MK, as much as I don't like Monkey King, he's important to you, and you're important to him. If there's anyone he needs right now, it's you."

MK nodded. "Get in, get Monkey King, get out."

"That's right."

We proceed forward, as the fight continued.

I stopped in my tracks, seeing vision flash before my eyes.

The vision was Monkey King, possessed, the fire, in Lady Bone Demon's hands, and everyone hurt.

I gasped as the vision cleared.

"Y/n, are you alright?" MK rushed to my side.

"I... if we lose Monkey King, then everything will truly be lost." I raised my head.

"Wait, what are you saying?" MK asked me.

"I'm saying that I need to get up there." I responded, focusing on turning into a bird so I could fly up there.

"Wait, Y/n, what are you--."

Before he could finish, I transformed into my bird form, flying into the Monkey King and Lady Bone Demon's fight.

Just as Monkey King was about to deliver another blow to Lady Bone Demon, I transformed back, pounding my fist into the ground.

I looked up at Lady Bone Demon with a dark glare.

"Other kid?" Monkey King looked shocked to see me.

"Ah, Shadow Girl, I'm quite shocked you didn't take the chance to run once you were free of my control, just like your mentor." Lady Bone Demon said in a chilled and cold voice.

"Yeah, well, unlike him, I don't run from everything." I got into a fighting stance.

"What are you doing here, other kid? I said I was fighting the Lady Bone Demon alone." Monkey King said.

"You did, but you specifically said that to MK, not me." I responded.

"You--" Monkey King was cut off as Lady Bone Demon froze him in ice, leaving his head free.

"You would continue to defy destiny to help him?" LBD gestured to Monkey King.

"Defy destiny, yes, help him, no. I'm only doing this cause if we lost Monkey King to you, there's no chance of stopping you." I summoned my staff.

"Even you will learn that you can't defy destiny."

"We'll see about that."

I jumped into the air, swinging my staff at her.

She summoned an ice spike, and I managed to dodge it, but barely.

"Is that all you got?" I laughed, jumping up to attack again, but the Not Mayor grab me from behind.

"Your efforts are futile, Shadow Girl. I've seen what the future has in store for you. Destiny cannot--"

I rolled my eyes. "Oh my gosh, don't you get tired of using that word? What about the Not Mayor, here? Is he in your future?" I break free from the Not Mayor's hold, yeeting him into the ground.

"As a matter of fact, no."

I continued to fight Lady Bone Demon, actually being able to land a hit on her, but it felt too easy.

"This body-- It's too weak!" Lady Bone Demon gasps, throwing up a sheild of bone around her as I came at her again.

"This is what you get for hurting MK!" I punched throught the barrier.

"This is what you get for hurting and possessing me!" I kicked her as she tried to put up a barrier.

"And this is what you get for trying to tare me and Macaque apart!" I threw her to the ground, landing on top of her mech.

"Stop! Have you forgotten? Destroy me and you destroy the host. Have you become so desperate to defy destiny that you would sacrifice this blameless, innocent child?" Her skin cracked.

"No. I'm not one to destroy others, now I'll be on my way."

I walked over to Monkey King, who was still trapped in ice, trying to find a way to free him.

"I've come too far to let you ruin destiny!"

"Other Kid, look out!" Monkey King shouted.

I jerked my head around, being raised up in the air by an invisible force, a blue sigil appearing behind me.

"You will not defy destiny again!" She raised her hands, beaming a blue light at me.

"No, no, no, no! Not again!" I screamed, getting flashbacks from when she first possessed me.

Just as the blue beam was about to hit me, it hit my necklace, a translucent red barrier forming in front of me.

"What?" Lady Bone Demon gasped.

"Oh my gosh, thank you Redson, he must've replaced the sigil." I sighed in relief, but that soon went away as Lady Bone Demon used more force.

"Even with that necklace, Redson cannot help you now."

She used all her power to break the barrier.

*Crack*

My necklace cracked, and the barrier breaking.

"No--"

I was cut off, the force of Lady Bone Demon's power crashing into me as she took hold once more.

I did my best to resist, but it was useless, I wasn't strong enough to fight her, I never was.

Lady Bone Demon cackled, having control over me once more.

"See what happens when you defy destiny? You should've ran when you had the chance." She smirked as I remained emotionless now.

"Y/n, no." I heard MK's voice.

Slowly turning around, MK saw my cold eyes looking back at him.

"No..."

A/n-Hey I had to work my around this chapter because if the reader just stuck with MK and Nezha before intervening, this chapter would only be over 200 words, now it's at least a thousand.

Have a good day or night.
