After we had gotten Pigsy back, we regrouped near a river, taking a small break before going to find the rest.

"Blue ain't really my color, but uh beats looking like that monster, Zhu Ganglie." Pigsy said, struggling to button up his shirt

"Technically, you'd be Zhu Bajie, now that you're on the Journey to the West." Tang said.

"Oh hoho, no, no, no. Don't go comparing me to that demon. My name's just plain old Pigsy." Pigsy crossed his arms

"I can't wait to meet my ancestor, Ao Lie. I beg he was mega cool! Right, Tangy?" Mei asked, playing around with her sword.

Tang laughs nervously. "Well..."

"I wonder when we're gonna meet mine and Y/n's ancestor." MK spoke, doodling on a piece of paper.

"I thought Monkey King was your dad, and Macaque was Y/n's." Mei looked at us.

"He's not my dad. Pigsy's our dad." MK pointed at him.

I started speaking. "MK, even for me, I know Pigsy ain't our dad, sure he raised us, that makes him a father figure, but--"

"Hmm, Mei does have a point. The rest of us mysteriously inherited the powers of the ancient warriors. However, Monkey King is the only original companion we know for sure is still alive. And yet you have inherited all of his powers. The same goes for Y/n, she has all of Macaque's power as well, so it is possible--"

MK interrupted Tang's explanation. "Yeah, right. If Monkey King really was my dad, me and Y/n wouldn't be siblings, and don't you think he would have said something by now?"

"And what about me? Sure Macaque and I have a history where he keeps secrets from me, and I find them out in the most earth-shattering way, but he would tell me if he was my dad, right?" I whispered the last part to my shadow.

Macaque didn't respond to me.

"Yeah, 'cause they're both normally so forthcoming with information." Mei said.

"Well, whatever. When we find Monkey King's stone, then we'll just ask him." MK bluntly stated.

"What?"

"Monkey King's huh?"

"Monkey King's stone. The one he was born from. Ever since I got into the scroll, I've been having visions of Monkey King standing next to his stone." MK told us.

MK's been having visions of a stone too. They sound like his visions are different from mine.

My visions are of a stone surrounded by fire, and voices that were unclear to me.

So the stone I've been seeing in my vision ain't Monkey King's stone, but whose stone is it?

I flinched as another vision overcame my sight.

It was the same stone egg surrounded by fire. The fire swirled around it before it stopped, and a crack appeared on it.

When the vision passes, a cold wind blew past me as everything starts to darken.

"Ah! The scrolls curse. It found us!" Tang starts panicking.

"Tang, get us outta here!" Pigsy said frantically.

"Right." Tang pulled out the instructions Azure gave us, but it got blown away. "Oh, no! My cheat sheet!" Tang cried out.

"Forget about the cheat sheet! It's exam time, baby!" Mei shouted.

Tang used his Khakkhara to prepare to teleport us out of there.
