Rick left in the morning with Michonne and Carl, just like he said they would.

As for us at the prison, it was spent getting ready, for really anything.

The day went by fast, and me and Daryl ended up in the guard tower on watch.

"I told you Merle wouldn't be much trouble today." Daryl said, looking at me.

I smiled, "I never doubted you. May be a pain once in a while but he's a good guy, I know."

He nodded, and held me close to him. "You were around Judith almost all day."

"What can I say? Here anymore we need something to.. I dunno, bring light into this dark world." I smiled, "She is the light." I shrugged.

He hummed, "yeah, little ass-kicker has been lifting spirits. She's one of the few good things anymore."

"Yeah, she is truly a remarkable little girl." I smiled at him. "And Rick found so much baby supplies, even a little crib so she could be comfortable."

"Yeah, he ready found the jackpot." He nodded.

We spent the rest of the night quietly watching for anything out of ordinary, but, it was yet another peaceful night.

The next morning, Rick, Daryl, and Hershel left, saying they were going to try and meet with the Governor. Rick and Daryl both made me stay behind, which I was not happy about at all, but I decided I'd trust them.

We all got guns ready, loading every gun. Glenn had Carl and Beth set up some extra bullets in some of our cover spots, so if we ran out we had more bullets out there.

"I'll go work on the cage outside." Glenn said, picking up his gun and walking out.

"What we should be doing is loading some of this firepower up in a truck and paying a visit to the governor. We know where he is right now." Merle looked at us

"Are you suggesting that we just go in and kill him?" Glenn asked.

"Yeah, I am." Merle said, staring straight at him.

"We told Rick and Daryl that we'd stay put." Michonne said.

"I've changed my mind, sweetheart." Merle looked over at her.

"Merle please don't." I sigh. "Governor probably has his men with him, if you go out to kill the governor you will be dead. I cannot let you die."

"Being on the sideline with my brother out there," he shook his head at me, "ain't sitting right with me."

"You think I wanna be in here with my brother and the man I love out there?" I said, walking up to him. "Merle let them handle this, I promise it will be ok just don't be irrational."

Glenn nodded, "the three of them are right in the middle of it. No idea were coming. They could get taken hostage or killed. A thousand things could go wrong."

"And they will." Merle said loudly.

"My dad can take care of himself." Carl spoke up against Merle.

"Sorry, son, but your dads head could be on a pike real soon." Merle looked down at my nephew.

"Merle you watch what you say because I am trying to help you but your making things difficult." I said quietly to him.

"My brother may need your help, but not me." He said, looking down at me. "I don't need jack from you. Never did."

"I never said you did but if your not careful you could end up with a bullet in your brain from one of the people. Just watch your mouth." I said, going into the cell block.
