Noah is dead.

When Glenn and his group left, 2 died, and Noah was one of them, along with Aiden, Deanna's boy. And Tara was in critical condition.

The hardest part was watching them all pile out of the van, except Noah. And the look in Glenn's eyes was all I needed to know the truth.

And that's why I am where I am now. Not in my bed crying, no. Not in Alexandria saying "sorry for your loss" to Deanna's family.

No, I was outside the walls. I didn't care it was dark. This time it was a run that was strictly personal, for me. I didn't tell anyone where I was going, so I can only imagine the yell fest when I get back from Rick, maybe even Daryl if he gets home before me.

But that wasnt what concerned me right now. I needed something to get my mind off of all this death.

I may not have known Noah for very long, but he was the closest connection to... Beth, besides Maggie.

As I walked through the heavily wooded area, I heard heavy footsteps behind me. I turned quickly, aiming my gun for the source, but rolled my eyes once I realized it was him.

"Now, now sugartits, no need to get our panties in a twist, hmm?" Merle said from the treeline.

"What's it this time? I'm not- laying on the floor near death." I huffed, continuing to walk.

"No but your suffering, but hell is it in a good way, damn my baby brother knows how to pick 'em." Merle whistled.

I rolled my eyes and kept walking. I didn't know where I was going, but I hoped if I could find a store, or a house, maybe even a nursery if I was lucky, I could start getting things for our soon-to-be-baby. I'm only 2 or 3, I guess maybe even 4 months in, and it already feels like I've had this thing in me forever.

It wasn't long before I found a house, now here's hoping they had a baby.

"You sure you wanna go in there baby? I dunno, could be dangerous." Merle hummed from besides the door.

"Or maybe it's not and I'll find supplies for the human I'm growing." I replied sharply. I wasn't exactly in the mood for him being.. Well, him.

I opened the door, my knife at the ready, but my hand hovered over my holster where my gun was. As I crept my way through the house, it looked empty. I found a few cans of corn to bring back from downstairs, leaving only the upstairs to check.

Slowly I made my way up the creaky steps, and started to open doors. I was on one of the last two, and when I opened it, I almost cried with joy. Diaper boxes, baby clothes- although they were all girl clothes, and we still weren't sure the sex yet, but whatever a win is a win. Baby bottles, toys, a blanket or two. It was perfect. I shoved all that I could in the bag.

Once done, I left the room, but my eyes lingered on the one door I hadn't opened yet.

I had my hand hovering over the handle. I wanted to know what was in there... But I couldn't help but think about what I might find. Walkers? People? Nothing? It was a gamble.

One I decided to take.

I quickly opened the door, my gun at the ready, and almost had a heart attack when I saw a man in the corner. Almost.

Merle was all I saw, and he had his brow raised as if he were completely innocent.

"God, you can be insufferable." I muttered, before leaving the house. Now it was just a matter of weather I wanted to head back, or search more. There was no room in my bag, so I eventually decided to call it a night.

"It's awfully dark, baby, maybe you should hole up for the night." Merle called to me.

"I'll survive." I called back, and kept walking, and Merle was gone. I came and got exactly what I wanted and needed from everyone. A break. A chance to step away. And also baby supplies.

When I got back, it was barely morning, sun was just rising. I climbed over the wall, same way as I had left, and walked back into the home.

When I entered, the place was quiet, so I went up and went to sleep.

-----

"Where were you?" This was the first thing I heard from my brother once I came down stairs.

"Good morning to you, too." I hummed as I grabbed cereal for my breakfast.

"Do you have any idea how scared I was when I went to go talk to you and you were just- gone?" Rick asked as he crossed his arms.

"Well, I'm here now, right?" I looked up at him. "I went to grab stuff for the little one. Found a house, searched it, luckily it had baby stuff, then I came back."

He sighed as he looked at me. "And nothing happened? You didn't run into anyone, nothing?"

"I had the occasional walker but, nothing I couldn't handle alone."

He nodded, "right.. Carol got more word about Pete." He told me as he leaned against the counter.

"And we know for sure it's the truth?" I asked through a mouthful of cereal.

"Yeah.. Yeah, pretty sure. She got everything from Sam and, I don't see a kid lying about that sort of stuff."

"Yeah, me neither." I sighed and looked down, before back at him. "So what are you gonna do?"

"I'm gonna.. I'm gonna talk to Deanna. I can't make any moves without her permission, I know that, but she needs to know." Rick explained.

"Yeah.. She does." I stood up, going over to rinse out my bowl. "Well.. You do that. You tell her, you tell her what needs to happen, too." I look back at him. "Because you know Carol was right. He can't live with us. He isn't just a danger to his family, but to everyone."

"I know.. I know." Rick nodded.

"We can't have another Ed." I whispered under my breath.

He nodded, before he walked out of the house. I just hope Deanna will make the right decision on how to go about this.

So I was super busy, and then I got sick, and other things in between, and I kept meaning to update, but I just never got the chance lmao

So uh enjoy this short update! I'll try to update again soon, but I think I'm gonna start having a set in stone schedule. For example 2-3 days a week I will update, probably Tuesday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's will be my uploading dates, or weekends.

Anyway so sorry once again for just going like dead lol.
