I finished packing our bags. I grabbed my jacket, putting it on. I looked around the room for anything else. Then, I picked up our bags, and made my way out. Found Daryl sitting by his bike, and gave him his bag.

"You know, Merle never did nothing like that his whole life." Daryl said gently to me and Carol, who had followed me to him.

"He gave us a chance." Carol said gently.

I helped him up, "he died for us. Weather he wanted to admit it or not he was a good guy. I'm glad to have seen that." I said softly to him, kissing his cheek.

I pulled Hershel aside, "Hershel, I want you to know, before anything happens, you've become something of a father figure. Your wise. And your smart. And Rick trusts you." I swallowed hard, "and sometime in the future I want to have a child with Daryl."

He smiled at me, "you'd make good parents." He nodded. "And don't you worry, after this everything will be ok. I'll be just fine. Now you run on back to him. He needs you now."

"Thank you Hershel, for everything." I said quietly, hugging him, before running back to Daryl.

And soon enough, we were ready.

We were ready for War, or to run. Whichever became necessary.

----

I was stationed outside. That's how I knew it was real.

We heard big trucks, and readied our weapons, before they blew up one of our guard towers.

Rocket launchers? How did they get such heavy artillery? They blew another.

They went into the prison.

I had no idea what was going on, who was ok, if anyone was killed.

Then I heard the prison alarm blaring, a I knew everything was falling into plan.

I saw them all escaping, and nodded to Glenn and Maggie, who were stationed across from me. The three of us had on the armor from the guard walkers, completely clean of geek goop.

"GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" I screamed as I opened fire against the people who came spilling out of the prison. I only had one man I wanted to kill. But if I had to get through all these people to get to him, well.

So be it.

I saw him, and started firing, but missed as he started firing back. I shot at anyone I saw, before they turned around and left.

"Oh my god!" I cheered.

"We did it!!" Maggie said joyfully.

"We did it." Glenn nodded, "come on down."

We all met up at the gate, and I smiled and hugged Daryl.

"We did it. We drove them out." Rick nodded.

"We should go after them." Michonne said.

Daryl sighed, "we should finish it." He agreed.

"It is finished." Maggie replied.

"No it's not, it's not finished until that bastard is dead." I said to her.

"No but- didn't you see them high-tail it out of here?"

"They could regroup." Michonne countered.

"We can't take the chance. He's not gonna stop." Glenn nodded.

"They're right." Carol agreed with us. "We can't keep living like this."

"So we take the fight back to Woodbury. We barely made it back last time." Maggie tried.
