We were all starving. Everyone knew about my situation, they kinda had too. We we're all searching the woods for anything we could eat. Often not finding anything.

Me and Daryl had resorted to eating bugs. It was like how it was after the prison fell.

We were going from car to car. And the one we were all piled into right now broke down.

"We're out. Just like the other one." Abraham sighed.

"So we walk." Rick replied.

We all hopped out of the car, and started down the road. Our whole group made it's way along. I walked with Rick and Daryl, bringing up the lead. Rick was holding Judith, and he looked sore, so I gently took her in my arms.

Rick had given me a looks telling me he wanted to talk to Daryl, so I fell back, going into step next to Carl.

"Hey kid." I sigh.

"Hey.." He mumbled. "Why are you holding her?"

"Big man Rick looked pooped. Just figured I'd lighten the load."

"Your already carrying one you don't need another." Carl sighed, gently taking Judith from me.

I sigh softly. "We need to find food, water, some shelter, here soon. We can't live like this. Not with her. Not with one on the way."

Carl nodded in agreement. "We're all hungry."

Daryl Whistled to me, and I looked his way. "You wanna come with? I'mma go hunting. See what I can find."

"Sure." I nod, running up to him as the two of us set out.

"How is the little one?" He asked me once we were out in the trees.

"I'd say it's good, I'm growing little by little." I said, lifting my shirt to show him. "Although I am worried about how skinny I am. I'm hoping the baby will be fine but we definitely need food soon."

Daryl nodded, "that's why were out here."

"I'm surprised Carol didn't want to come." I said as we walked.

"Yeah, she feels bad for making you jealous." He replied.

"Oh.. You told her..?"

He nodded. "Yeah, sorry." He sighed.

"No, I get it. Now I feel bad though, I don't wanna chase her from you or anything."

He shrugged, "it's whatever." He sighed.

As we walked, I had a bad feeling. "It's too dry, isn't it..?"

He nodded, "yeah. not a damn thing out here."

"Should we go back?"

"You go on ahead." He sighed. "Probably shouldn't be hiking out here in your condition."

I sigh, I knew he probably needs time to process everything that happened back at the hospital, but I needed him to know that he didn't have to shut me out, close me off.

"Daryl.. She as a good kid." I said softly, my hand on his shoulder. "She saved Carol. I know how important she was to you. You guys saved each other after the prison. I can't even begin to imagine the pain your going through right now."

I gently pulled out a knife, and placed it in his hands. "It was hers. Carol gave it to me, not too long ago. She wants you to have it." I watch as he grasps it tightly in his hands, before he looks up at me. "We have to keep fighting. And you can't bottle this up Daryl. Not anymore."

I watch him closely. "You have to let yourself feel it. You have to." I gently pull him in, kissing his forehead softly. "I love you, and I want you to be able to talk to me, you can't bottle up your emotions."
