As we walked inside, the man looked us over. "Before we take this any further, I need you all to turn over your weapons. You stay, you hand them over."

"We don't know if we want to stay." Rick spoke up, still holding his baby.

I nodded as I stood by my brother. "We don't know you people."

"I-It's fine, Nicholas." Aaron sighed as he looked at the man, Nicholas.

"If we were gonna use them, we would have started already." Rick told Nicholas.

"Let them talk to Deanna first." Aaron said to Nicholas.

"Who's Deanna?" Abraham called from behind us.

"She knows everything you'd want to know about this place." Aaron explained as he looked between all of us. "Rick, why don't you start?"

We heard a walker from the other side of the barred fence, "Sasha." Rick said, looking at the walker.

Sasha took down the walker without another word, then turned to us again as the 2nd gate closed, one that was an extra layer of protection, but also so we couldn't see out there anymore.

Rick looked at me, and I nodded. "Yeah, it's a good thing we're here."

After Rick, I went into the house. I didn't know what I was expecting, but it was nice. It was like how it was before. An older woman was there, Deanna.

"Hello." She smiled at me.

"Hey." I said slowly.

"You must be Y/n Grimes, Ricks sister."

"I am." I said nodding.

"I'm Deanna Monroe." She said, holding her hand for me to shake it.

"Nice to meet you." I said, slowly taking her hand in mine, shaking it firmly.

"I'm assuming it's alright with you if I film this?" She asked.

"Excuse me?"

"Do you mind if I film our talk?"

I paused, "that's quite the strange request... But.. Sure.. Go ahead." I watched her carefully, "but, do you mind if I ask why?"

She walked around a couch as she set a camera up. "Your brother asked me the same thing." She smiled, "we are about transparency here."

I nodded, watching her, "I see... It's different but I respect it."

She smiled warmly, before motioning to a chair. "Please, have a seat." She sat down on the couch, and I sat across from her in a chair that was pretty damn comfortable.

"How long have you been out there?" She asked me.

"Hell I.. I don't know. Since this whole thing started."

"How did you all find each other? Did you know each other before or...?"

"The only ones I knew were Rick and his family, I knew Glenn from highschool, he was a grade or 2 below me. But Rick had never met him. Most of those people out there we met after."

"Rick said you were pregnant. How far along are you?" She asked.

"I don't know, I think 1, maybe 2 months? I lost track of time." I replied.

"The father, is he still with you?"

I nodded at her, "yes, Daryl, he's the father, the one with the crossbow."

She nodded as she watched me. "I was a congressperson." She told me. "Ohio, 15th district. You?"

"A teacher, middle school, in Georgia. Carl, my nephew, the young boy out there, he had just started 6th grade and was in my class."
