a comfortable amount of time passed with no sightings of my father so i was confident that he had made it to safety. i never doubted it seeing as he managed to hide the entire school year on the grounds without being detected by even the dementors. he had sent me a letter telling me he was safe and comfortable but i did not reply yet because nothing new had happened since i last met him. perhaps i would sent him a letter once we left Hogwarts. i can tell him all about what really happened to my mother and then i can tell him all about the Weasleys.

speaking of the Weasleys, i have found myself getting a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach whenever someone mentioned Fred. i have no idea what this feeling means and I've never felt like this for him before so why do i suddenly feel so attracted to him. all i want to do is talk about Fred all i think about is Fred. it had to have become obvious that we had grown closer over the school year as instead of awkward side hugs in public and a few deep conversations it had turned into real hugs and cuddling whenever we were tired or either one of us was upset. i would not dare tell a soul of this however and so far no one has brought attention to it so i must be hiding it well enough.

i was walking down the halls mindlessly fantasizing about my ginger best friend when i heard footsteps behind me and i snapped out of my daze to see that Harry had spotted me.

"Chloe!" he exclaimed as he ran up and hugged me.

"What's this for?" i asked confusedly.

"just thought you'd might like a hug." he said as he walked with me.

"your hug was well received." i said.

"we should go see professor Lupin, i heard something about him leaving the school." he said.

"were not walking if that's the case." i said as i began running and Harry followed after.

we arrived in the Defense against the dark arts classroom a short while later and i grimaced as i saw dried spots of blood on the ground that clearly had soaked into the worn floor where they could not be removed. that was my blood soaked into the floor.

Harry walked right past it while i stared and i heard him dashing up the steps to Remus' office. the door was open and knew that so i was not surprised to hear conversation from above as i continued to stare at the small massacre on the floor.

"i couldn't seem to get that blood off the floor. it looks recent." Remus said and i looked up to see him and Harry leaning over the balcony.

"Fudge might have kneed me in the face and caused me to bleed all over your floor while he was trying to get me to answer questions about my father." i said.

"ah, well that explains it. its not my floor anymore, however." he said as i began walking to the steps so i would not have to crane my neck any longer.

"what do you mean?" Harry questioned.

"im resigning." he said turning around. he walked back into his office just when i got to the top of the stairs and i followed him in as he waved his wand silently closing his few trunks of belongings.

"And what makes you think i will allow that to happen?" I said angrily as i marched up to him.

"Professor Snape let it slip to the Slytherins that i am a werewolf. Its best if i leave now before Dumbledore gets a bunch of angry letters about how he let a werewolf teach their children." he explained calmly.

"What a git." i said under my breath.

"Chloe, be respectful." Remus reprimanded.

"I've called him worse to his face." i retorted as i began pacing to walk off my anger.
