Some months had passed since the incident at the ministry. it was and still is very hard for me to talk about it but in my mind, i have come to terms with the present. it takes a while to truly be okay. The Weasleys and i thought it would be best for me if i moved in with the twins at their store in Diagon Alley. they live in a small flat above their store. it has two bedrooms, a small kitchen, bathroom and living room. there was also a spare room in the back that was only big enough for a bed and a desk but the twins were happy to give me that room when i moved in with them. they didn't share a bedroom in their own place anymore which was probably because they had been sharing all their life and wanted to experience what it was like to make a wreck of their own without the other contributing.

i am incredibly grateful that they allowed me to live with them so quickly. when Mrs. Weasley asked if they would let me live in their flat they said yes before she could finish her sentence. after i got settled in, they came into my room with an envelope and it was a safety contract to work at their store. they invited me to be their second command almost faster than i could even explore the rest of their flat.

I accepted quickly and signed the safety contract so that they could allow me to work for them. they were happy to see me smile after a long time and i was happy that they felt so safe allowing me to help run their shop without an interview at all.

when we spoke about the money situation, i agreed to visit Gringotts to open a vault for the company and be the manager for finances. this meant i would be frequenting the bank a lot but also organizing pay for each of us and the other few people that the twins were planning on hiring once school season arrived.

for the next month and a half i was with the twins in the shop each day cleaning the rest of it and setting up displays. we had to do a lot of this by hand because there is only so much magic can do. the twins were in the back most of the time because they had to make enough stock for the store but i helped them figure out how to make bulk batches of their products which sped up the process. they had a magically expanded stock room in the back that was filled with boxes of packaging and joke candies and other joke products.

when the time came for our grand opening we had three new members of the staff and there was a massive crown of Hogwarts students and their parents waiting for the door to unlock. School season was here, and so were the students.

"Fred?" i said as we all stood in a line on the balcony in the top of the multi-leveled store.

"whats up?" he replied as he turned to me.

"I don't know how well i can handle all those people so i might go hang out in the back and keep inventory flowing." i said.

"sounds like a great idea." he leaned down to kiss me and as we broke apart there was a loud ding in the shop.

"that's four thousand before grand opening!" George exclaimed as he held his hand out and each of the other staff members handed him a sickle.

there was a kiss counter that George created and placed on one of the walls so that it was visible to anyone. he made it impossible to move, not that anyone had tried. it indeed read four thousand and opening was not for another ten minutes.

everyone began laughing as George happily pocketed his earnings. after we settled down i waved at them then made my way down to the back door that led to the stock room. i went to the 'creation station' where we had so kindly named our inventing spot. it was once the 'boom room' but we had to give it a different name once we had to move extra inventory into the rest of the room. there were a few large cauldrons that needed a stir so i did that and not long after i finished, there was a bell sound and suddenly, hundreds of voices filled the shop. Elane and Christopher would be at the two registers by the door and Vanessa would be running around helping people figure out what everything was while the twins were greeting everyone and also helping with everything else.
