"Miss Black, I'd like to see you after class." McGonagall said at the beginning of class and i groaned internally. i knew i was not in trouble because the first task was coming up and it had come to my attention that i would be pulled out of class or held after for random tidbits of information. Professor Flitwick had already pulled me out to say that i would be taken out of class for interviews starting after the first task and he also warned me not to say anything that i didn't want in the press. it's not like i didn't already know how to keep my mouth shut around the press. that's why they have to lie about me in the Daily Prophet.

"what does she want you for?" Fred asked in a whisper as he leaned into my ear.

"i don't know but I'll bet you it's got something to do with the first task." i replied.

"I'm not taking those odds. Bagman still hasn't gotten back to us about the money he stole from us." he said shaking his head sadly.

"i reckon i could give him a piece of my mind if i could get close enough to him. every time I've seen him looming around here he's run out of the room. makes me think he's trying to avoid confrontation with us." i said.

"he can't run forever." George whispered behind us and we began silently laughing at his menacing tone.

the end of class arrived and everyone filed out of the room except for Fred, George, and Lee. McGonagall came up to me and said a few quiet words before handing me a scarlet colored jersey and a jacket with gold accents that was in the same scarlet hue of the jersey. the jacket reminded me quite a lot of my quidditch uniform.

"no pants?" i asked and the twins burst into laughter as McGonagall shot them a look. they weren't supposed to stick around with me.

"I'm sure you'll find some." she said.

"yeah, i guess i will." i said trying to hold in a laugh.

"off you go now. you're already late for your next class." McGonagall shooed me off.

"i don't have any more classes for the rest of the day." i said. that was a mistake.

"then you'll do well to catch up on your homework instead of running around with your friends pulling your little tricks." she reprimanded.

"alright then." i said disguising an eye roll as i turned around taking my task uniform with me as i exited the classroom with the boys on my tail.

that was just about the last moment i had time to think because as soon as i left that classroom i was bombarded with constant gossip about Harry and i manipulating the tournament. badges were being passed around and they only had Harry's name all over them because Draco was decent enough not to mess with me.

the task arrived faster than i was ready for it to be here. i woke up and stared at the top of my four poster bed for a solid fifteen minutes before Alicia drew my curtains back and dragged me off my bed. she knew full well i was awake based on the amount of noise she and Angelina were making while they fangirled over Viktor Krum. For the record, they don't have a crush on him, they have a crush on what he can do on a broom.

Angelina snatched my clothes that i laid out for the task and threw that at me while Katie pushed me towards the bathroom. i was not reluctant to get ready and go to the champions tent for the task, i was more annoyed that it crept up on me with barely a warning even though I've known it was coming for weeks.

i locked the bathroom door and brushed through my hair. i decided to leave it down out of pure laziness and dramatics. i brushed my teeth then took my pajamas on replacing them with a pair of black leggings and the scarlet jersey. i walked out with the jacket in hand and gave the girls a look before snatching my wand and a tube of mascara off my nightstand.
