"It is so very intruiging to learn about you, James." I said, feeling myself fall head over heels for the fancy man from another time.
"Why, that is certainly a brave statement." He said.
"Brave? Should I be scared?" I teased.
"Perhaps, my dear. I'm sure Elizabeth told you that you are not invincible." He said and took a sip of his drink.
"Wait. You're a ghost." I said to which he replied with a hum. "Can you actually kill me?" I asked and he chuckled.
"Yes." He drew it out and it made my knees wobbly. "In fact. I would argue that I have killed most of our more permenant residents." He said and grinned.
"Oh really! How interesting." I said and took a long sip. "Then, would you mind telling me a bit about your technique?" I asked and propped my chin on my hand.
He finished his drink and stood up. "Why don't I just show you? I think that would be far more interesting. Don't you agree my dear?" He held out his hand for me to take while standing up.
"Such a gentleman. I could get used to this." I laughed and stood from my chair.
Together we walked the corridors of the hotel, all the way until we found a suitable victim. James seemed to scan the empty hallway and suddenly, "Aha! There we go." He said and headed for one of the many rooms. Then he dissapeared, but soon enough the door swung open and a short, chubby man opened the door in a hurry.
"There's a killer in my room!" Just as he yelled those words, James slit his throat from behind him. The blood spewed onto me and the man fell to the floor.
I blinked after wiping the blood out of my eyes. "What a pathetic man." James snickered.
There was something in his eyes. A kind of spark, like something deep inside of him was burning with a sadisfaction and heat, I can't even describe it. He looked at down at the man. He really looked pathetic. Laying in his own blood. Only wearing his ugly, worn boxers and stained shirt.
"You did him a favor." I said without thinking and James laughed.
"What a unique way of viewing this situation, my dear." He said and gestured for my hand.
I took hold of his hand and he helped me step over the body and into the man's room. It didn't look much different from where I had stayed.
"What are we doing?" I asked, to which James answered with a passionate kiss.
He threw me into the wall and attacked my neck with harsh kisses and nibbles. We eentually made our way over to the bed, but just as I sat down, James pushed me back up and instead lead me back to the door.
"I find it more exciting this way." He said and layed us down next to the corpse.
i guess that is another thing him and the countess have similar taste in...
