The color faded from her skin, and James got down from her. I just stood there watching him.
"Wow." I said, and he fixed his hair, like nothing happened.
"She won't bother us for a bit." He sighed and smiled.
"God, I can't believe it. Not ms. Evers." He said, and his voice trailed off.
"Well, looks like you need a new assistant..." I said quietly, shifting from one foot to the other.
His head snapped over to look at me. "Yes. Seems like it." He said with a hopeful glint in his eyes.
"Don't get too hopeful. I'm still amgry with you." I said and huffed. "So now...what do we do?" I asked and looked over at Ms. Evers.
"Not a thing to worry about, my dear! She'll wake up in a bit. I'll take care of her body. And once she recognizes where she's landed." He laughed, "She won't bother us again."
"So does that mean you'd kill for me?" I asked with a light chuckle.
James came closer spun me in his arms. "I'd do anythin for you, my darlin."
It was then and there that nothing else mattered. I didn't care about the whole fight, the necrophilia, or anything else.
The moment my knees felt like jelly and the butterflies in my stomach flapped their wings. I let them break free.
