"Let's get out of here." One of them suggested. They all scrambled away, and I went back to my room.
Since I was already awake, I decided to get ready and head down, enjoy Liz's company.
I made my way down, but I met Sally on the way.
"Hey Sally." I greeted.
"What do you want?" She asked pissed.
"Nothing. Just wanted to give a friendly hello. That's all." I said and walked on just like she did.
I continued my way down and met up with the lovely Liz Taylor, who was working the reception.
"Liz!" I exclaimed happily.
"Y/n! Good to see you not covered in body fluids." She joked and gave me a dirty grin.
"What's up with Sally?" I asked curiously.
"Don't mind her. She's a junkie. The bad kind." Liz said, disgusted.
"Is she alive?" I asked, and Liz shook her head.
"No. That bitch's been dead for years. Iris pushed her out of a window." She said, mumbling the last part of the sentence.
"Why'd she do it?" I asked even more curious than before.
"'Cuz Donavon's got a drug problem. And Sally happened to be the last one she'd give drugs to. Or something like that." Liz said and shook her head.
"Donovan? As in the countess' lover Donavon?" I asked, intrigued.
"Exactly. He loves her. Deeply. But she only sees another one of her creations. Like you. The countess isn't capable of love. She only wants and takes whatever." She explained and took a drag from her cigarette.
"You talk like you know her well." I said, hoping to get more information.
"I do. She helped me be who I am. She helped create Liz Taylor. Honestly, I don't know where I'd be without her." She said. Then her face dropped. "Probably at home. Watching my son grow up..." her voice trailed off.
"You have a son?" I asked and imideatly felt like I overstepped.
"Mhm." Was all she said, and I didn't poke my nose into her business anymore than I had already done.
"What about you? What's going on with that love triangle of yours?" She asked.
Happy to not have upset her too much. I started talking again. "Elizabeth told me I can be with James. She likes that it keeps him off her back. And james is happy that we spend so much time together. I just hope this triangle doesn't blow up if I have to pick a side. I don't think I'd survive." I said and laughed, but it was probably true.
