A fairytale of a beautiful maiden, the beloved Frost Flower Princess was supposed to be staying in the comfort of her castle masquerading as a cage to protect her from the dangers outside, imprisoned by her own brothers.
That is, until a mysterious...

"But maybe do it before I lose my head? K-thanks!" Cater says.
"Guess... we should start painting those white roses red... for the, uh... something..." Y/n mumbled, summoning a soft, floating pillow beneath her with a flick of her hand. She flopped onto it belly-first, getting comfy like a cat preparing for a nap.
"The Unbirthday Party, dear Alice," Cater chimed, his bright grin completely smitten as he watched her snuggle into her plush perch. Her tail casually grabbed the nearby paint bucket while she levitated a brush with effortless magic, hovering it in front of the rose bush.
"Right. That party," Y/n replied flatly, focusing on the roses. With a subtle movement of her wrist, the brush glided over a white rose, turning it a rich crimson.
"Hehehe, you're quite good at this! Seeing on painting while resting on your pillow... makes you look so totes adorable!" Cater said, stars in his eyes. "Perhaps we should take another picture! Hashtag #PaintingTheRosesRed!" Without asking, Cater tugged her pillow slightly closer, quickly holding up his phone and snapping a selfie. Y/n blinked into the camera, visibly confused but not moving away.
The boys watched Cater interacting with the princess and rolled their eyes. Vanitas glaring daggers at Cater as he and Ace carried their paint buckets and brush.
"Tch. He better not do anything weird to her." Ace grumbled in irritation.
"He may be my upperclassmen... but I won't hesitate to beat him right here and now." Deuce said in a threatening manner in his delinquent voice.
Vanitas crossed his arms, his smile tight and unamused. "Should he try anything inappropriate," he said coolly, "I'll be happy to break his arm and call it an accident."
The three boys exchanged a subtle nod of agreement—an unlikely alliance bound by a shared sense of protectiveness.

"Red... Red... BAM! Wh-whoa! It turned blue?!" Deuce yelped, eyes wide in alarm as the rose in front of him shimmered into a bright cobalt hue instead of the intended red., clearly having a colorful imagination.
"Change, o foul color! Change! AHA! BWAH! The rose caught on fire!" Grim screeched upon his roses igniting in flames instead of turning them red like he wanted.
