5: Free His Heart

3rd person pov:

Weeks have passed now, and shoto is still being watched. On this early morning's watch. Shoto sees a ship ahead.

Sho:"Ship straight ahead!"

Everyone gets ready for battle. Only to get closer and see that it's been abandoned. Shoto looks at the jolly Roger and can't believe what he's seeing.

Sho:"That's his ship."

Shoto drops a latter and fews inside to see no supplies, and berries of black powder set up like a trap.

Sho:"No one hop aboard! The Navi has set up a trap!"

Once, shoto climbs up. Kirishima heads down to conform.

Kiri:"He's right!"

Shoto climbs up to the crows nest and notices a jolly boat is missing.

Sho:"He must've escaped capture. He couldn't have gone far. We might be able to catch up if we try."

Baku:"Who made you captain? I give the orders around here shitstick."

Izu:"We do need to clear off the bottom of our ship, though."

Baku:"Any island around here is a death sentence. Face the fact. Your brother is dead."

Sho:"What's so dangerous about this part of the sea?"

Baku:"Creatures of old live and feed around these parts. They don't take kindly to humans. As one of us stole their heart away many years ago."

Meanwhile, dabi heads into the forrest. Where the winged human like creature perches on the roof waiting.

When dabi walks towards the door. He's stopped when a red feather the size of his arm is shot out and stabbed into the ground by his feed.

So dabi climbs up. That's when he sees that the creature has a collar around his neck and a chain that goes inside by a hole in the roof.

As dabi slowly approaches the creature. Its eyes widen with a look of suspension.

So dabi pulls his hand away. Only for the creature to grab his wrist and place Dabi's palm against its cheek. Dabi's gaze drifts from its eyes to the chain. So the creature keeps a grap, but let's dabi reach for the chain.

Dabi follows it until the beast releases its hold on him.

So dabi backs away and lifts his hands. Pointing to himself first, then the chain, followed by the hole before dabi, makes a final motion like he's snapping a twig in half.

The creature bows and backs away to let dabi go inside. However, the moment dabi turns away to leave. The creature grits its teeth.

Dabi jumps down to see a nest made of furs, feathers, sticks, and bones. Dabi looks around and finally finds the chain. Only to see that it isn't attached to anything.

Dabi:"Shit. It's smart - ghuh."

Dabi feels a strong pain go through his chest. Only to turn his head and see that the creature has run him through with a feather like blade.

It's eyes wide like an animal full of anger.

Dabi:"Damnit-"

Haw:"For some reason, my charm doesn't work on you. That's a problem for me. So you need to go away."

The blade is pulled out, and dabi falls to the ground. Blacking out soon after.

When the creature turns its back. It sees a glowing light. So it turns back. Only to witness the curse that dabi is under in action. As Dabi's wound heals up in moments.

Haw:"What are you?"

As Dabi's necklace begins to glow. So, too does Hawks bracelet.
