*Niall's P.O.V*

"So-um. Since tomorrow is sunday and I'm asuming you have nothing else to do-" I stuttered.

What am I saying? Of course she has something to do.

"Yeah, I don't have anything." She reasurred egging me on.

"Um, would you like to go to the carnival with me? Its on the boarwalk and it starts at 5 o clock, you don't have to go but-"

"I want too." She touched my hand smiling obviously trying to get me to stop rambling, I tended to that when I got nervous. Especially around beautiful girls.

"Really?"

"Yeah! It sounds like fun, you're a great friend to hang out with." She smiled and gave me a hug wrapping her arms around my close pinned arms. She gave me another grin and wave before she shut the door of her room behind her.

Friends. Is that all she thinks of us? Friends?

I didn't understand why she was so difficult, or unintelligent to get a hint that I like her! Not like her like a friend, but like someone that gives you goose bumps, or someone you want to be with 24/7 not hugging or friend things but touching eachother, kissing that kind of thing. She's really a smart girl I didn't understand why she wasn't picking anything up. I stood there shocked for a couple minutes not knowing what to do with myself next. I HAD to kiss her tonight, or she would never realize my feelings for her.

*Caroline's P.O.V*

"Hey El." El was on her computer stradling it on her bed. She looked like she just got ready for a run. She had spandex and a sports bra on and her brown hair was pulled back tightly in a pony-tail.

"Hi Caroline." She greeted me with a smile and closed the laptop giving me her attention.

"How was your palates class?"

"Great! I was actually just about to go for a run, join me?"

"Sure, why not." I never really ran but looking down at my pudge forming I did need to get in shape especially for surf season next summer.

"Yay!" She sqealed digging through her drawers for probably spandex and a sports bra I could borrow. Bingo, they were both lime green. Not really my color, but oh well. I mean who's going to see us?

********

"How you doing?" Eleanor giggled watching me pant like a dog. I had started walking no longer than 20 minutes into the run. El would try and stay with me but I felt bad for making her lose her excersise time.

"I've been better." I inhaled deeply stopping to put my hands on my knee's.

"You go ahead," I said to Eleanor seeing she was probably getting antsy.

"Are you sure?" I nodded and sat down on the curb hugging my knee's to my chest. I just needed to catch my breath than maybe go to the park next door to get some ice cream.

Yeah, icecream sounds good right now.

You're such a fattie, Caroline.

After about a 5 minute rest a younger boy my age with golden brown hair jogged up the road. Sweat beating down his bare chest and ear buds swinging back and forth as he ran. When he approached me he stopped to take a swig of his water and pulled out a head phone.

"Are you alright?" He asked panting.

"Yeah, just taking a break." I stood up trying to seem less weak then I had striked as before. He nodded and took another sip of his water.

"I'm Jack," He stuck his sweaty hand out for me to shake it and I politely took it.

"Sorry, its a little sweaty."

"Its fine, I'm Caroline."

"Nice to meet you Caroline, I'll see you around. Alright?"

"Alright." I grinned up at him and his tall figure. He was so much taller than me, but he wasn't any less attractive. He grinned back and put his ear bud back in. He started jogging again dissapearing farther into non exsistence.

Who was that guy.
