Seulgi's POV

I don't know what time it is, but I think it's 12 am. It's really dark here, and the surroundings are quiet. If I'm not mistaken, the bars here only operate until 10 pm because that's the allowed time.

I've been sitting here on the sand, just gazing at the stars. For the past 3 years, I've always tried to get Hyun's attention.

Everything was going smoothly until that dog arrived. He ruined everything; I thought I had a chance.

I stood up and brushed off my shorts; I need to leave. It's getting cold, and I haven't been wearing an upper garment since earlier. I also need to find a spot where I can sleep.

I'm mentally drained and tired as well. I gave everything for her; I don't think I left anything for myself. What do I do now?

What happened earlier was the last time I'll kneel down for Hyun. I'm tired of chasing her, tired of trying to please her. I'll give her what she wants.

Maybe I'll sleep on the sand. I'll dig so that I have something to cover my body, at least. I'll come back for my belongings tomorrow.

I don't think I'm ready to see her yet. I'm not ready to see her happy with another man.

After digging a hole, I lie down and cover my body with sand. Today has been a long day, and I'm tired. Tired of everything.

---

I woke up to the sunlight shining on my face. At first, I was confused about where I was, but then I remembered I slept on the sand. Luckily, the place I chose wasn't crowded.

Should I get up? I don't feel like getting up; I don't have a reason to anymore.

I was about to close my eyes again when someone called my name. "Babe? Seulgi?"

"Ohh, hi Jennie." I responded without enthusiasm.

"What are you doing there?" she asked as she approached me.

Hmm... What should I say? I slept here because Hyun and I broke up? "Sand bathing?" I replied hesitantly. Even I'm not sure why I chose to sleep here.

She laughed. "Silly! You're not even sure what you're doing here, and is that even a word? Isn't it 'sunbathing'?"

I nodded. "Yeah, but I'm on the sand, so it's sand bathing."

She laughed even harder. Is there something funny about what I said?

I decided to get up. Using my strength, I carefully stood up to brush off the sand from my body.

"Oh my gosh!" Jennie exclaimed.

I looked at her, puzzled. "Why?" I asked, furrowing my brow.

She bit her lip and looked away. "N-Nothing, I just saw something shawty."

"What? What's 'shawty'?"

She chuckled softly as she approached me. "Don't mind what I said." She replied.

She brushed off the sand on my body. "I can tell something's off. What really happened to you?" she asked while continuing to brush off the sand.

"Nothing." Besides the fact that Hyun chose Bogum and broke up with me.

She looked into my eyes. "You can tell me everything." Her eyes looked concerned. If I had met Jennie earlier, maybe I would be happy right now.

She put her palm on my face and caressed it. "It's okay if you're not ready to tell me. Just remember, if you need someone to talk to, I'm here."
