Destined for Love

Five

I decided I'd go to the game tonight even though I hate crowds I have nothing better to do with my time. And I'm also kinda wanting to see if Draven or Mel finally make a move on one another.

I put on a comfy outfit not caring what people think about my appearance. Ravens music sounds outside my window. I run out the door so she doesn't turn on gross music to embarrass me.

"Hey bitches" I yell over the obnoxiously loud music as I get in the back seat. "Tell her the tea Rav" Mel says turning down the music as Raven pulls out out of my driveway.

"I heard Draven on the phone with who I'm guessing was Vincent say that he was wanting to see a-" not being able to finish her sentence Mel jumps in "a girl at his game and that girl has to be me" she makes it clear.

"Oh god finally would you two just date already, you've liked each other for years" I roll my eyes and laugh. "Yes but I want him to make a move first duh" she says as if it's obvious to us. Raven who is done with this conversation about her brother turns up the music.

We pull into the school parking lot and Mel is ecstatic about seeing Draven play. "Do you think he'll notice we're here?" She asks giddily. "Probably because you'll be screaming" Raven says and I laugh harder than I should have.

I somehow convinced them to sit at the top of the bleachers where no one has sat yet. The game hasn't started yet but the players are doing the hand thing where they walk down the field and high five the opponents hands.

"Do you guys want anything from the concession. I'm hungry" asking out of the kindness of my heart but really I'm just starving. Both asking for nachos and slushy I walk down the bleachers.

The line was small so I ordered quick. Now noticing that I won't be able to carry all the food. Before I could wave one of the girls to come help a familiar voice asks behind me.

"Need help there nerd?" Corbin. "I've got it thanks" he ignores me and grabs the nachos. Following me up the bleachers. "I see you found a friend" Raven sarcastically points to Corbin giving me the wtf look.

"He was just leaving, right?" I state more than question him. "No I was actually just staying, thanks" he says coldly, sitting in my spot. The game starts and Mel starts screaming "go Draven" as expected.

The score is now 6-0 our team made a touchdown or whatever the terms are. Corbin's eyes haven't the the game the whole time except when he saw a girl walk past us and somehow got her to blush and twirl her hair.

I still wanna know how he got my number. "How'd you get my number by the way?" He finally looks up from the game and scoots toward me. "Vincent" he leans in and whispers. "Remind me to kill Vincent" I tell the girls. He looks back to the game ignoring my comment.

The game comes to an end and just as Mel finally stops screaming and hooting Draven waves to us making her continue. If they don't get together soon I'm going to lose my shit.

The lights now on at the field because it's pitch black and certainly past my bedtime. Corbin left halfway through probably finding that girl and getting her digits. We scored 4 touchdowns because Vincent is an absolute beast at football. It came close but we won with 24-14.
