"Rematch Kat?" Vincent challenges me with one hand filled with red solo cups and the other a bottle of vodka. His face is a huge toothed smile as he makes his way toward me.
"I'm game but you're going to lose. Again." I challenge him back knowing it will just make him more competitive.
Ten solo cups shaped into a triangle at each side. Draven and Vincent are teamed on one side of the table, Corbin and I standing on the other.
Mel fills each cup to the brim. Which is completely okay because I don't plan on drinking more than one. And that's just me giving Vincent hope at one lucky shot
I look over to Corbin seeing my ping pong ball in his hand I snatch it quickly. I've never seen him play so I have no idea how this will actually pan out.
I line my hand up with the cup using my immaculate hand-eye coordination. I toss the ball with a simple flick of my wrist.
I watch the ball fly across the table. Hitting the edge of the cup it softly rolls into the cup with a splash.
My eyes meet the girls who are sitting on the couch watching our heated match.
Minus Raven who's tapping away at her phone. Hopefully inviting her fake coffee-making girlfriend to this shit show.
"She's a beast, hope you boys aren't bad team sports cause you two are losing!" Mel yells from her seat, her finger waving between the two boys.
"Babe, you're supposed to be rooting for our team" Draven retorts giving her a hard look.
"That was when I thought you were going to win, Now that I've seen Kats skills I've changed teams" she responds giving him the same hard look.
Draven picks up the ball after downing the cup I scored, his face set on the middle row of cups. Smart move however his hand is shaky.
He tosses it and bumps Vincent on the shoulder as if to say "I got this in the bag". The demon grin that is painted on his face proves my thoughts.
The ball plunges into our cup. I look over to Corbin, his hand already on the cup and downing it before I can register that the ball even went in.
"I'm sorry you were saying" Vincent says cupping his hand dramatically to his ear while making eye contact with Mel.
"Lucky shot" Corbin states confidently beside me. He grabs the ball as it's his turn to throw.
Our cups are now tied at 2-2. I grab the ball. I throw it without any hesitation or coordination this time as I'm too tipsy to focus.
The ball falls right into the front cup leaving the last cup in the back row. We got this. Corbin is almost as good as me at this. Key word almost.
Vincent downs the cup and Draven grabs the ball out of his hand.
"Hey, I wanted to throw" he whines. His girlfriend laughing at his childish behavior.
"Next time" Draven says without taking his eye off our cups. He aims for the front cup. His throw is a little too hard.
The ball flies threw our cups and off the table. Completely missing both of them.
"That was rough" Corbin says laughing at Draven's bad aim. I accidentally let out a small snicker before stopping myself.
Corbin throws the ball after taking a whole minute to get his aim just right. "Throw the damn ball" Vincent yells, and he does.
The ball shoots right into their last cup. Corbin abruptly grabs my waist pulling me into his arms.
"We make a great team, nerd" he says giddily making me smile. "We sure do" I retort giving him a simple kiss before I'm set back on my feet.
