"Kiss you?" I say visibly gulping. He doesn't respond instead he leans in attaching his free hand between my neck and jaw pulling me toward him. Closing my eyes our lips softly connect.
I tilt my chin giving him more access. Our lips move in sync, fitting perfectly like the last piece of a hard puzzle. I move my hand to his hair lightly pulling. His hand responds by creeping further up my thigh.
Goosebumps crawl down my spine. I let out a gasp giving him the ability to deepen the kiss. His hand meets my hip at last.
"You have no idea how long I've wanted this since that night." he says breathlessly. Gasping for air I reconnect our lips at once in anticipation.
My body is surely on fire from his sweet lips, his gentle hands, and his thumb that is mercifully caressing my jaw.
Just as his hand meets my inner thigh the door swings open. My eyes grow wide. Swiftly pulling my lips from his. Draven's feet move closer.
"I know you are in here" he yells, his feet now right in front of the couch I'm desperately hiding behind.
He moved beside the open side of the couch moving the wicker end table. His eyes meet mine.
"That was such an easy win, nice spot." he remarks not giving Corbin and I's closeness a second thought he leaves with a wicked laugh.
My face must be whiter than snow. Laughter erupts beside me, moving me from my thoughts. "You think this is funny?" I question him.
"Hilarious, you should've seen your face. I mean your eyes were the size of a gulf ball." He says brushing his hand over his top lip to keep himself from bursting into laughter I presume.
"So funny Corbin" I retort. His eyes fall on mine soft like an angel. I move my legs in an attempt to get up but his arm reaches mine. "Your upset?" He whispers so low I almost think I'm hearing things.
"No, but we would be in real shit if Draven saw us like that" I gesture to the ground where we had just kissed like starved animals.
His hand leaves my arm and his feet meet the ground. "Good because I'd like to do it again" he walks around the couch leaving me in the room with a sweet smile and the sound of my heartbeat.
I wait awhile debating if I heard what I thought I heard. I walk out of the beach house to see everyone standing behind the French doors at the kitchen counter.
Shit. They must know what just happened. If they don't Draven is completely oblivious to his surroundings.
Just looking at my face when he caught us should've been enough for him to connect the dots that I was just smooching his best friend. I'm totally fucked.
I walk into the house like a scared dog, with my tail behind my legs. "You will never believe where Vin hid, my god it's hilarious, tell her!" Mel points to an embarrassed-looking Vincent.
"I hid in the shower" he says under his breath. "Which one?" I question.
"The clear one" his eyes finally meet mine. I instantly burst into laughter tears fighting to fall down my face."Where did everyone else hide" he says in an attempt to get attention off himself. Corbin looks at me across the counter and I freeze. "I hid between the bookcases in the study" Raven spoke first.
"I waited under Raven's bed for like an hour before Draven even walked into her room. It was so hot I thought I'd die before he found me" Mel confesses while giving Draven a dirty look.
Silence takes over before Draven speaks. "I found this one behind the couch in the beach house" he states pointing to me. Did he not see Corbin? Or is he covering for us?
"So what's the next mission for today?" Corbin changes the subject almost as quickly as it started. "So, I was thinking we could all go to the bonfire at the beach tonight" Raven hesitatingly suggests.
"Fuck yeah, I heard all the hot chicks from NorthPass are gonna be there" Vincent cheered while patting Corbin on the back. Corbin's face is straight as he looks at me and then at Vincent.
I can't be mad if he hooks up with another girl, we aren't together. More importantly, he's still a the same player from before. The kiss likely meant nothing to him.
