"Why are you being so nice to me" It's like a switch has flipped since that night, he hasn't been rude to me since minus the leaving without a goodbye. "Can we just sit here and you not question everything,
please Kat" his voice was nothing but a low sound. I nod my head and return my gaze to the water below us.

"This place is absolutely astonishing," I say still taking in the view. "Can you swim?" He says getting up. His arm slightly touches mine and my body warms instantly. "Yes, why are you asking" My question is answered quickly as he strips down to his boxers.

"What are you doing, that water is probably freezing" I get up and watch as he jumps into the water. "Aren't you going to join me?" His face was lit up by the moon. "Oh no, no, no" I'm not jumping in there" The water looks much further down now that I'm standing.

"It's not deep I can touch the ground" he says showing me he can in fact touch. "Turn around" I say not wanting him to see me undress. He turns around splashing the water as he does. I strip my clothes and stand at the edge. "Did you jump yet?" I hear him say I suddenly get a wave of adrenaline from his voice and leap off into the water.

My head emerges from the water in a rush. I brush my hair out of my face and am immediately face to face with Corbin. "I didn't think you'd do it, nerd" he pokes. I splash him with water and he returns the favor only worse. "Oh it's on"

I splash my hand through the water and push it toward him. He smiles his infamous shit-eating smile and takes his hand behind him splashing me in the face. Water goes down my nose and I start to cough. "Shit" he swims over to me and places his hand on my arm pulling me into his grip.

"Gotcha" I push his chest and begin to laugh. "That wasn't funny Katherine, I thought you were choking" his voice stern as ever. "You know the water isn't as cold as I expected it to be. I could stay here all night" I try to lighten his mood. "I'm going to get you back for that little fiasco" he says walking close to me.

"Oh yeah?" I pester him. "Yeah" his voice sounding particularly soft. He places his hand around my waist hoisting me up and throwing me in the water. "You asshole" I grab onto his arm and push his head underwater but before I can move away he drags me under with him.

Our head come up at the same time his hand around me and my legs instinctively around him. "You look beautiful under this light" he mutters to me his face inches from mine. "Why thank you, you look particularly handsome yourself" I smile at him placing my hands around his neck. "It's getting late you know, my friends will put me on a milk carton if I don't show up tomorrow" I say with sarcasm ridden in my voice. "Let's get you home then" he says like he wanted to stay a little while longer.

He holds me to his hand across my back as he makes his way to land. Just before we emerge out of the water completely he releases his hold. "Thank you for tonight, I had fun" I say lowly as I drop to the ground but he doesn't say a word instead making his way back to the cliff we had just jumped from.

I quickly dress as Corbin waits behind me quiet as ever. I walk to him and he smiles walking back to the car. Getting in he brings the car to life pulling off.

"Are you going to Raven's tomorrow?" I question trying to fill his silence. "Probably" he says without taking his eyes off the road.

He stops at my driveway and puts the car in park. "Thanks again" I unbuckle my seatbelt and grab the handle but am caught by Corbin's arm pulling me back in. "You can't tell anyone about tonight" his face is stern and his hand falls from mine. "They wouldn't believe me anyway" I say and with that, I'm out of the car confused by the whole night.
