The girls decided we'd dress up for the bonfire. Not my idea at all in fact I suggested wearing a baggy jacket and shorts. It's going to be dark who cares.

But anyways, they've got me in booty shorts a white cropped halter top matched with a light brown, plaid flannel. Simple and still comfy. Thank god.

The boys left us like 45 minutes ago after whining like children at us for "taking too long". I heard Corbin's car rip out of Rav's driveway. They didn't even change clothes after sweating from our intense game of hide and seek.

Mel finally comes out of the bathroom. "Are you ready?" An impatient Raven sounds from her bed. "Duh" she replies as she struts to her purse and then the door.

We are either really late or there are too many people here. We parked like 2 blocks from the beach parking lot because the whole area was full. Definitely getting my steps in.

"We should have worn our swimming suits, that water looks so good from here" Mel comments pointing to the ocean in the distance. "Yeah if you want to be shark bait Mel. They feed at night" Raven remarks with a snarky laugh.

As we walk through the sand I see huge crowds of people standing, dancing, and sitting near the fire. Music plays loudly across the whole area. There is a beer bong table set next to 2 large kegs on the ground. This is some bonfire. I must admit I expected a lot less.

"Look who decided to join the party" Draven shouted from the wooden bench. Alone. "Why did you miss me" Mel teased sitting next to him.

"Why am I the designated driver again?" Raven asks fake annoyance clear on her face from her brother and best friends flirting session on the bench. "You were the one who said you'd drive us home" I poke at her. She sends me an eye roll and a smile.

"Finally the competition has arrived" Vincent says swinging his arm over my shoulder already smashed. I laugh at his comment but remain confused. "Play with me?" He requests pointing to the beer pong table. "I suppose but only one game".

It's Vincent and I against Mel and Draven. I walk up to the table placing my flannel around my waist. I go first. Closing one eye I line my ball up perfectly to the 2nd solo cup in the back. Tossing it I watch as it lands into the cup. "Hell yeah!" Vincent screams next to me.

Mel downs the drink without even flinching from the taste. "Kiss it for good luck" Draven places the ball between two fingers reaching it up to Mel's lips. He quickly aims the ball tossing it right into my cup.

"That's all you" Vincent says picking up the cup and handing it to me. I'm not as used to drinking so my face turns sour from the taste.

We are tied now. 2 cups each. I've drank half of the cups so I'm quite buzzed but the game must go on. "Alright now get it into the second one" Vincent says his hand on the small of my back encouraging me.

"Don't you worry sweetheart. I got this in the bag" I smile stepping back to get a better angle. I toss it. All of our eyes follow the ball as it flies toward the cup. It lightly bounces on the table before falling into it.

"Yes!" I screech dramatically. "That was pure luck" Draven says in return for my mad skills. "As if, I'm just a pro man" I retort giving him a devilish grin.

Their ball doesn't make it in instead falling close near it and sliding right off the table. What's that sound? Oh right, it's us winning. "Okay Vin it's our last cup, stay focused" I hand him the ball and send him a reassuring nod.

He lifts his hand above his head flicking his wrist, like a chief would. The ball dives right into the cup. Vincent jumps out of the air like a child grabbing the last two of our cups and chugging them.

"That's enough for me I need a real drink" I say walking off to find the table of drinks I saw earlier. It is dark out now and the only light comes from the fire and moon reflecting off of the water.

I grab my usual and walk off to find Raven. I wouldn't say this is the biggest beach around us but it's big enough to get lost in the dark. I walk aimlessly through the crowds. Just as I make it back to the beach I see him.

I completely forgot he even came. I hadn't seen him all night. Sitting where we met Draven when we arrived he has the same blonde from that night on his lap. His hands touching the wood below him not bothering to touch her.

Forgetting my plan to find Raven I turn around in search of a bathroom. My legs lead me as my mind is going crazy. I reach the building rushing inside.

His face was lit by the ember. He looked happy there. Like what's been happening between us the last few weeks has meant nothing. I turn on the faucet cupping my hands, the cold water splashing across my face.

I walk out of the bathroom following the small amount of light coming from the beach. My hand is grasped and I'm snatched behind a dumpster.
