I wake up before Corbin. His arms are wrapped around me tightly like he's scared I'm going to run away. No chance. He looks so cute when he's sleeping. I play with his hair pushing it out of his face so he won't suffocate in the crook of my neck.
He shifts slightly and grunts. Pulling me on top of him he releases his death grip on me. "Morning" he says in his deep morning voice. "Good morning" I hum back.
"We have to get up soon or we're going to be late" It's already a little later than when I would normally wake up to get ready. But I couldn't bring myself to wake him.
"Do we have to go?" His eyes finally open looking for my answer. "Yes, we do" I do at least, I'm sure he'll end up skipping. "5 more minutes" he says pulling me to straddle him.
I place my arms on his chest crossing them and placing my head on top of them. "5 minutes shouldn't hurt but no more than that" I don't want to be late today.
He places his hands on my back caressing the small spot of my skin that is exposed. "How does your knee feel?" His eyes are on mine making me nervous.
"Better. You got lucky" I tease. "I will gladly carry you to all of your classes regardless if it feels better or not" he runs his tongue on the bottom of his button lip before bringing it in and releasing it. Ending his seduction with his dimpled smile.
"Okay, we have to get up now" I move off him walking to my bag for clothes. He remains in his spot watching my every move. I grab what's remaining of what I brought for clothes.
My black tank top, white zip-up hoodie, and a pair of Raven's black jean shorts. I walk to the bathroom shutting the door behind me. I turn the shower on, cold, in need of something to wake me up a little.
I grab a towel placing it around my body and walk to the sink. I place my hair in a bun not wanting to deal with the frizz. "Are you ready?" I hear an impatient Corbin outside of the door. "Nope I'm still very naked" I respond. A groan comes from the other side before I hear his footsteps walking away.
I throw my clothes on opening the door to Corbin sitting on the bed feet crossed and his arms behind his head. He's fully dressed now in his usual black shirt and jeans. "I'm ready now" I'm guessing the rest of the circus already left because Dravens car is gone and I don't hear Raven or Mel.
We pull into the school right as the first bell rings. I walk ahead of him thinking he likely doesn't want people to see us together yet but he quickly catches up to me placing his hand in mine. He walks me to my first class not letting me go until we arrive at the door.
"I'll see you after class" he states bringing his hand to my hair and pushing a piece of my that's falling out behind my ear. He leans in giving me a sweet kiss before walking away. Placing his hands in his pockets he sends me one last smile before disappearing.
"You're so privileged that you didn't have to endure the clowns this morning. They were fighting about who got the front seat." She looks at me making sure I'm listening.
"Oh, that's not all, then went on to play 3 rounds of rock paper scissors." I shake my head imagining them playing for the seat.
"They're ridiculous" I retort. The teacher passes out a sheet of classwork with 27 problems. Did I ever say that I hated math? Well, I do.
Thankfully Mel is a genius at it and helped me. Finishing early we talk about how her and Draven's "relationship" is going. Now that we don't have Raven here gaging and cringing.
"We're dating but also not dating I guess. He just has to ask me we do everything a couple would do." she finishes. She told me that he's hinted at her being his girlfriend but not asked her. Come on Draven ask the poor girl out already.
The bell rings and I throw my stuff in my bag quickly. Mel follows behind me as always. We walk out the door and I'm stopped by something or someone I should say.
"Ready for class nerd?" Corbin says grabbing my bag and throwing it over his shoulder. "I'll see you at lunch" Mel says before skipping off to her class. "I love this class, so yes I'm ready"
We walk into class together. He places my bag next to my chair before pulling it out and sitting in the unoccupied one next to me.
"Good morning" Raven utters before sitting in front of us. "Good morning, don't worry I'm here you don't have to beat my ass" I know if I wasn't here today she'd gladly beat me like a redheaded stepchild.
I get my notebook out just as the bell rings. Corbin places his hand beneath my chair pulling me closer to him and laying his hand on my leg. Making sure that he doesn't touch my knee. So kind.
Classes go by quickly, likely because it's the first day back from Labor Day weekend. Somehow I convinced Corbin to stay for lunch and not take me out to eat like he wanted.
"I definitely won the first two rounds" Vincent yells next to me referring to their heated game of rock paper scissors this morning.
"No you did not, I won the first game" Draven says with certainty. "Rematch right now" Vincent demands forming his hand, challenging him.
They play a few rounds before Vincent finally wins the tie. "HA" he says sticking his tongue out and flipping Draven off. They bicker for the rest of lunch.
The rest of the school day flies by, the final bell rings at last and I pack up my bag. My phone buzzes on the desk.
"Meet me in the parking lot" the message reads. The sender of course is Corbin.
