"I love you, Katherine"

It's been three days since I heard Corbin say those simple three words. I haven't said it back nor do I plan on it. I was tired I may have misheard him even.

He hasn't said anything about it either. I'm in the clear if he was hoping for something in return. Everything has been normal between us.

"What did you get for number 3" Mel whispers beside me bringing me out from the abyss that is my brain.
I'm in math class.

"27" I whisper back. I finished the worksheet 20 minutes ago.

The bell finally rings. I scribble my name at the top and quickly hand it into the bin.

"One more day and then, PARTY, PARTY, PARTY" Mel yells beside me gaining the attention of the teacher across the hall.

Instead of scolding her he throws his hand in the air and walks back into his class. The poor guy is already done with school. Sucks for him because we still have another day before break.

"Look at him waiting for you. How cute" Mel says with a huge smile on her face.

My eyes look to my door, standing there is Corbin. His arm leaning against the wall, one of his legs cross the other at the knee.

He looks lost. His eyes finally meet mine and his beautiful smile finally appears. He straightens himself before meeting me halfway.

"How was math" he says snaking his arm around me. I tilt my head up meeting his glare.

"It sucked" Mel answers before skipping off to her class. She sends me a smile and a hand heart before disappearing around the corner.

"It did kind of suck" I answer for myself as we enter the room. He pulls out my chair next to him allowing me to settle before joining next to me.

"Mr.Caplin just said some girl was screaming about a party in the halls" Raven says before joining us at the table.

"That would be Mel. She's excited for Friday and started screaming about partying." I respond. I can't lie I'm excited too.

"You still riding home with us tonight?" Raven questions. They miss me riding with them so I agreed to go home with them today.

"Of course, someone has to get you to finally ask the coffee girl for her number" I respond.

I hadn't told Corbin yet which would explain his face. I've been a little caught up this morning.

"Good morning, Since we only have 2 days left of class there's nothing on the agenda, You may use your cellphones and talk quietly amongst yourselves." The teacher sounds from her desk.

"You busy this weekend?" Raven asks me. Corbin's eyes move between the two of us but he says nothing so I respond.

"No ma'am. What do you have in mind?" I question and her lips grow into a smile.

"Sleepover this weekend? We haven't had one in forever, and I just bought new gel polish" Raven happily asks.

"I'm so down. I need to give you a makeover for your date with coffee girl." I respond.

"Shut up" she responds, her face red as a tomato. At this point the next time I see her at the coffee shop I'm going to ask her.

Raven removes herself from any further embarrassment and asks the teacher to use the washroom.

"You're still coming to mine Monday for dinner with my mom, yes?" Corbin whispers next to me.

"Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the world. Can't wait to see your cute baby pictures" I answer.

"Don't get your hopes up, I may burn them before you arrive" he says making me laugh.

"You wouldn't" I reply turning to him to get a better view of his eyes. He places his hands on my thighs and moves his head close to mine.

"I so would" he answers his face straight but a hint of his lie is seen in his lips. They are trying so hard not to smile that a bystander would think he's constipated.

"Would you two love birds get a room" Raven finally says as she returns to her seat.

"Would you ask that girl out already, you seem so bitter" Corbin says with a smile.

"See even Corbin ships you two" I grin. Before Raven can speak the bell rings.

"You two are so annoying" she says grabbing her bag and heading to the door.

"She loves us" I buzz to Corbin before giving him a quick kiss and running out to find Raven.

The rest of my classes were boring. Lunch included, no one had any good jokes or gossip which is highly weird for our group.

Corbin told me to meet him at his car before I left. I walk out the door and make my way to him. He's already awaiting my arrival as he's leaning against it.

"Hi" I mumble out. His arms meet mine as soon as I'm within his reach. Pulling me in he wraps them around me, hugging me.

"What was that for?" I question. He never really hugs me. I mean we've hugged plenty of times but not like this.

"Nothing, just missed you" he responds releasing me from his embrace.

"I have to go or Mel will take shotgun" I say tilting my head up to look at him.

"Am I still picking you up in the morning?" He asks me, his hand still lingering on my hip.

"Yes, like always" I respond and he smiles big removing his hand from my hip he places it behind my neck pulling me in.

I push my lips onto him, giving him a quick kiss. We pull away knowing that if we kept on any longer we wouldn't stop.

"I'll see you in the morning darling" he whispers in my ear before letting go of me completely allowing me to walk away.

I make it to Raven's car. She's already waiting for me. I open the passenger door just as Mel arrives behind me.

"You're so lucky I had to pee" Mel sounds beside me referring to the reason I got front seat.

"So today's the day Raven gets the girl?" Mel says from the back seat.

"What do I even say?" Raven asks as she turns the key. Mel laughs audibly at her words.

"Just be like "Hey girl, let me get them digits" or something I don't know" Mel says between laughter.

"Don't say that. Ask for her number. Say that you've seen her there a few times, that you like her style and want to hang out sometime then ask for her number" I answer giving her actual advice.

"I can do that" Raven states. Her face is already red as we pull into the coffee shop.

She's just about to pull into the drive-thru when she hits the brakes.
"I'm nervous" she says visibly gulping.

"You got this girl. The worst she can say is no" Mel says from her seat. Raven nods and continues into the drive-through.

"Hi welcome to UrbanBeans, What can I get for you?" Coffee girl says from the small speaker.

Raven orders our drinks and pulls up to the window. Coffee girl is just on the other side of the glass.

"You got this Rav" Mel and I say in complete unison.

The window opens. Raven looks at us before finally speaking.

"I'm Raven, You can call me Rav. If you want to. I was wondering if I could get your number" Raven says stumbling her words.

Coffee girl smiles and reaches for Rav's Cup. She quickly writes down her number with a sharpie and hands her the cup.

"I see you come through here all the time, I was beginning to think you'd never ask" coffee girl speaks handing us the rest of our drinks.

"My name is Alexandria. And you can call me Alex if you want" she says copying Ravens words from before.

We finally pull out and onto the road. Raven's face ridden with excitement. That is before she sees me reach for her drink "Don't touch my damn cup" she scolds.
