"Can't believe you said yes to a party. The Katherine Beckford agreed to a party!" Raven practically yells out as we walk to lunch. She hasn't shut up about it since 2nd period.
"Did I read that text right? Kat's going to the party?" Mel appears next to us and wraps her arms around the both of us. "Don't make me change my mind"
Initially, I was going to say no but then Corbin made a speech about how I'd never be seen at a party or something like that but I took it as a challenge. Meanwhile, they are now talking about having nothing to wear.
Sitting at our normal table in the cafeteria which is right next to the doors that lead outside. I never eat lunch food because it's gross and I'd rather starve.
I notice Draven and Vincent laughing and pushing each other as they bring their food to our table. Draven sits next to Mel because they've both had a crush on each other since the beginning of their sophomore year.
Vincent sits next to me still laughing like a seal. "Like I said Coach Stacy is in love with me" Vincent boldly states causing Draven to choke on his water laughing. "Hate to break it to you Vin but Coach Stacy is gay and married."
Then everyone begins laughing. Vincent's smile drops. "Fuck" he says in disbelief. "Are you all coming to our game tonight?" Draven asks but we all know it was meant for Mel.
"Would they just kiss already?" I whisper to Raven. "That's my brother" she pretends to be disgusted but she nods because she knows I have a point.
We all talk and banter like always. Though not having Corbin here pestering me feels nice it's weird. As a matter of fact, where is he?
Finishing my pb&j the bell rings. I get up throwing my trash away. "Bye guys" I wave off the boys as they leave out the back doors and follow the girls down the hall.
"You going to the game tonight then Kat?" Raven asks already half knowing. "I'll think about it" meaning most likely no. "Bye love you guys see you after school" They both wave me off with a smile.
I turn down the opposite hall to my art class. Of course next to my door is a couple close to having sex. Then I realize something even grosser it's Corbin and one of his bimbos. Gag. Now I know why I had a good lunch he was busy. Thank the Lords.
The rest of the school day went by fast. Meeting the girls at Raven's car has become our routine due to the number of people who stay in the halls after school.
Probably selling coke or whatever kids do these days. "We going shopping for party attire or what?" Mel asks jumping into the backseat and throwing her bag on the ground. Raven and I say "duh" in unison. Sometimes I think I'm more of her twin than Draven could ever be.
