Rong Su really didn't want to agree with anything Qiu Ling said but since the dragon king had put this under the caveat that he was 'somebody who loves Jing He' he also felt that he couldn't argue. In the end, he finally huffed. "Then say what you have to say!"

Qiu Ling lowered his gaze, feeling like he understood why Jing He hadn't been able to deal with this any longer. His father was clearly too unreasonable. He had long made up his mind and nothing anyone said could change his opinion. In this case, was there even a need to explain?

He sighed but then glanced at the Heavenly Empress and the God of War. These two were definitely willing to give this a try for Jing He's sake. That was enough. No matter what happened with the Heavenly Emperor, at least there were some people on his beloved's side. He should just focus on them.

Making up his mind, he slowly recounted what Tian had told him, adding his thoughts along the way. "The problem with this whole matter is that we are all people Jing He cares about greatly. He doesn't want to disappoint anyone but because our positions differ so much, he doesn't know how to react. He was likely distressed by this and it finally reached a degree where he couldn't suppress it any longer and suffered the consequences.

"According to Tian, the solution is to leave him time to himself to figure out his true feelings. This means that before Jing He wakes up, I will have to leave the High Heavens and return to the dragon realm. I am ... not happy with this but it seems that this will be best for him. Without any outside interference, he can slowly think things through and figure out what he wants for his future.

"If I understood correctly, then as long as he can make that decision, his soul can be healed. He will still carry the memory of everything that happened so there might be some hurt feelings but there won't be any outward signs that he was ever a fallen god as if all of this never happened."

Personally, he couldn't care less but he knew that for Jing He's parents and also for the rest of the gods, this would be of utmost importance. They wouldn't be able to accept their crown prince being a fallen god.

As for the dragons ... he felt a bit doubtful. On the one hand, even the dragons knew to fear fallen gods. On the other hand, with Tian's curse and how high-profile he had been about his feelings for Jing He, they might realize that there was no choice anyway. They'd have to accept him as he was unless they wanted to lose their king. Of course, if that were to happen, there was Jinde to take over so it wouldn't be too much of a disaster for their people.

Either way ... "Tian stressed that anybody's presence would influence him too much so it's important that we leave him alone and wait until he himself has come to a decision. Afterward, we will have to accept whatever outcome there is." Qiu Ling stopped speaking at this point, not sure what to add. Anyway, this matter originally wasn't complicated. It was only hard to swallow that this was what they had to deal with. Having to wait for an unknown length of time and not being able to help at all ... it wasn't easy.

Seeing as he had finished talking, the Heavenly Emperor furrowed his brows. "All of that seems awfully convenient for you. Somehow, we just have to believe every word of what you're saying and you also want us to believe that you will stay away instead of trying to influence Jing He. Why don't I believe that? I mean, who is going to check whether you really are in the dragon realm or not?"

An Bai who had kept in the back until now furrowed his brows. In the past, their king had made quite a bit of trouble so he could get it if there was some faint dislike for him from the Heavenly Emperor's side. But this ... this was going too far! That was still their king!

He wanted to speak but stopped when he caught the God of Justice's gaze. He blinked his eyes in puzzlement and then watched as the God of Justice turned to the Heavenly Emperor himself.

"Your Majesty, what you are saying might be a bit too much. The dragons are our allies, after all. Still, seeing as this concerns your son, I believe everyone can understand that emotions are running high. If I might make a suggestion ..." He turned to the transmission stone and faintly raised his brows at Qiu Ling. "How about Longjun proves that he won't stay in the High Heavens?"

Qiu Ling tilted his head. "Prove it? How so?"

"You organize everything in your realm and then come to stay in the Nine Heavens for the time being. We are allies so you being here for a while as the Nine Heavens are thrown into turmoil by our crown prince's disappearance won't make anyone feel odd. Not to mention that your feelings for him aren't exactly a secret."

At the side, Leng Jin Yu's gaze moved from side to side and he finally cleared his throat. "Oh, being here would also be very convenient for preparing the wedding ... just in case His Highness decides he wants to go through with it."

Qiu Ling who had been staring at the God of Justice, wondering why this guy was doing this turned to Leng Jin Yu instead, giving him a deep look. This ... Was this his father's reincarnation trying to play his wingman? His lips twitched but he finally nodded. "You are right. That would indeed be the perfect opportunity to arrange the ceremony.

"I am sure Jing He will be thrilled if he finds out that his father and I have started to get along while he was away." Saying that, he turned to face the Heavenly Emperor instead. "In that case, I won't stay here for much longer. I'll leave immediately and arrange everything so you won't have to worry about me playing any tricks. After all, I wouldn't want my future father-in-law to doubt me so I'll do whatever it takes to prove my honesty to you."
