Broken Love

It's been a week and Fatima is sitting in the conference room with Aisha and Mike along with Mikes lawyer.

Mike: Look I don't want anything as long as I get to see my daughter, I'm good.

Aisha: Mike I'll never keep you from your daughter. I'm not that bitter ass ex that'll keep her from you just because we didn't work out, that's on us not her.

Mike: Aisha I know you're not, that wasn't what I was implying. I'm just saying, I don't want anything when I was the one that broke our marriage apart.

Aisha: No Mike you didn't. You might have cheated, yes. But our relationship/ Marriage was broken long before you cheated. We were just holding on to the idea of something that it wasn't. But I will always love you, we just can't continue to be this.

Mike: And I will always love you too.

Fatima: If that's it, let's get these papers signed and be outta here.

They sign the divorce papers and went on by their way. They agree that they will share custody of their daughter.

Fatima: Sis you okay?

Aisha: Yes, I just never thought that it would come to this. But it's for the best.

Fatima: We never plan to get married just to get a divorce.

Aisha: Thank you sis for being in my corner through this time of need. It haven't been the easiest, but you have supported and motivated me throughout this journey.

Fatima: And I will continue to be here supporting and motivating you throughout your journey.

Aisha: I love you sis.

Fatima: And I love you more babe. You hungry?

Aisha: You treating me?

Fatima: Ofc, I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't.

Aisha: Then yea I'm hungry?

Fatima: Let's go get you and my baby fed then.

As they were walking out the conference room they ran into Andi and Faith.

Fatima: Oh hey Andi and Faith. What y'all got going on?

Andi: Girl about to go get lunch.

Fatima: That's what Aisha and I are heading out to do.

Faith: Hey Aisha, how are you?

Aisha: Hey Faith, I'm good and yourself.

Faith: I'm good, I was worried about you when you didn't show up for your session the other day.

Aisha: I'm sorry, I had got sick. I must forgot to text you.

Faith: It's okay, I'm glad you're feeling better.

Aisha: Thank you.

Andi: Y'all wanna have lunch with us?

Fatima: Sure, I guess that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Andi: Y'all wanna meet us there or we ride together?

Fatima noticed Aisha mood had changed.

Fatima: Yea we can meet y'all there.

Andi: Okay then bet. See y'all there.

They leave out the law firm and got into their cars.

Fatima: Sis you okay?

Aisha: Yes I'm okay, I just started feeling sick outta nowhere.

Fatima: Is it the baby?

Aisha: It could be?
