Nash POV

I stood there watching my dad fall to the ground as the bullet went through his head. Tears immediately flowed out of my eyes as I watch it happen. I see the man who shot him and I lost it.

Him and the men around him started floating and eventually disappeared into the sky. Not even a minute later, all the bodies came down. It looked like it was raining men. "SPLAT!" was all I heard as i stare at my lifeless father.

I drop down to my knees as I just stare at his body. "No, this can't be happening! It's all a dream I know it is!" I yell as I bang my head on the ground. That didn't work, I should try pinching myself. "Ow!" Nope that didn't work.

Okay, this isn't a dream. I crawl towards my dad as he's about a foot away from me. I reach him and just kneel there with his body in my arms. Tears practically pouring out of my eyes drip on his face.

"Please God, let my dad be up there with you and let him be happy. Thank you for blessing me with a wonderful father. I couldn't ask for a better one. So I guess you have one more angle." I slightly chuckle as more tears come down my face. "Thank you again for giving this father to me. Now all I ask you is to bless me with strength to move on and learn more about this adventure. Thank you. Amen!"

I finish my prayer and lay my dad's body back on the ground. I stand there looking over his body and thinking how would mom, Hayes, Will, or Skylnn take this. Oh my god Skylnn. The thought of her make more tears come out.

"C'mon Nash! Move on and finish what you've started!" I yell at myself. My brain says stay, but my legs started to walk towards the forest. Wait, no! I'm not ready to leave him, but I have to. He would want this.

I continue trudging towards the forest, but still looking at my lifeless father on the floor. I look up at the clear beautiful blue sky and laugh. Isn't this the part where it starts raining like every cliche movie. I laugh at myself and my stupid remark. My dad would laugh with me cause we both know how movies these days are cliche. Ow my chest! The thought of my dad makes my chest feel tight and i can't breath.

"Get it together Grier!" I hear from behind me. I turn around see the one and only. "DAD!!!" I say running to him. "BUT HOW???" I'm practically yelling and crying at the same time.

"It wasn't easy." He says with a chuckle
"I thought you were really dead." I let go of him and take a step back.

"Exactly! I needed you to help with the idiots." He says nonchalantly. "All I had to do was fake my death and I did that by making an ice clone. It looked real huh?" He says laughing

This jerk made me think he was really dead! "Ugh!!! I thought you were really dead! I prayed and everything for you."

"Yeah I saw and heard that."

"You suck!!!!!" I say turning around and pouting.

"Pout later. We still have a little way to go before the camp." We started to walk back into the forest and walked and walked and walked.

Finally, what felt like forever of walking came to a stop when me and dad came to this strange looking tree. It had weird writing on it too.

"What does that say?" I ask curiously

"It's Dutch for 'welcome all gifted people'" my dad explained. He pulled one of its lowered branches and up came an elevator inside the trunk of the tree.

We stepped inside of course and the door shut. We came shooting down to the base of all this weird ass tree. About a minute has passed and we finally reached the bottom. The door shoots open and I couldn't believe what I see.

I see a white room with people dressed in black and red fitted training suits. I look to the right and see about ten battle fields. I guess that's where they train. I see fire being thrown at the battle field and grass growing fast out of nowhere.

I look to the right and see stairs leading up to rooms. I know that cause it has "rooms" engraved on the wall. I look forward and see an older gentleman approach us. He was kinda bald, the only hair he had was his beard and around his head, so the top of his head was shiny bald. He was in a nice suit and in a wheel chair. The wheel chair was so high-tech. It had buttons on the arm rest and I could see boosters on the back. He lives that high life.

"Ah Chad!" I hear the old man say

"Mr. Anderson!" I hear my dad yell.

"How are you Chad? How has it been?"

"Not good. My son here, powers came in and the government was already after him."

"Ah I see. Well you should know this is the best place to be, right young man?" he asked directly at me.

"Oh, um, yes sir." I say with a smile.

"What is your power?" He ask raising an eyebrow.

"Um, I have psychic powers I guess."

"Please demonstrate." He demanded

"I can't, it's only activated when I'm highly stressed or really upset." I explain

"I see, well we would help change that here. Why won't one of the kids show you where you would be staying at." He says. He pushes one of the buttons and the boy with the chocolate eyes and brown hair shows. Cameron.
