Chapter 4

Geneviève POV. 🧡

After they stopped going back and forth about their debate about Damon and me, literally in front of us. Stefan said it's best if they don't try to break us apart anymore saying that it shows Damon's humanity is still within in him.

I don't like Stefan. Stefan chooses not to see that his brother has emotions and does care. Stefan just wants to feel as if he's better than Damon, I believe.

Damon ended up taking me home while Bonnie drove Elena. Even though they don't trust him I'm happy that they're not saying all those horrible things about him anymore.

"Out late again." My uncle says as I get in.

"Just at a friend's house. They were helping with my homework." I say but I could tell he didn't believe me.

"Homework. The school called said that you skipped after lunch, so how can you do the homework if you weren't there." He says

"I'm sorry. It's just that this is all new plus Bonnie and her friends was smothering me. They were acting like I would vanish or something." I explain to him

"It just sounds like they care." He says being a bit more sympathetic.

"It doesn't feel like it. It feels like I'm just they're responsibility or something."

"You have been disappearing." He says giving me the look, " so who is this friend you've been hanging out with then? Is it Jeremy."

"No. His name is Damon." I tell him.

"As in Damon Salvatore." He says abit worried

"Bonnie introduced us. Then yesterday he helped me with my homework, so why not he's not that bad." I explain

"Maybe not but I did hear about something going on between him and Caroline Forbes. So be careful." He says

"I promise he's nothing to worry about." I tell him

"Alright. Well I'm going to bed. Good Night. Tell Bonnie this as well when she gets in, at least call when you two stay out. But I'm happy you're like Mystic Falls so far." He says walking upstairs

"I will. Good Night" I tell him before he gets to far.

I like Mystic Falls so far but it more that I like Damon. It just happens to be that Damon is in Mystic Falls.

The next day during lunch the Scooby gang thought they should catch me up about everything that's going on so I'll know, so Damon also came by for lunch.

"Why is he here?" Caroline asks upset talking about Damon.

"Because if you're going to talk about this with Geneviève, I should be here." He says putting his arm around me.

"I still don't see why." She says

"Oh, I thought they would have told you the moment after they found out." Damon says leaving Caroline clueless and turn to the others for an explanation

"They're...mates. It's.. because Geneviève is a empath..... and empaths has mates or...whatever." Bonnie says as if the words were going to burn her throat.

"That's eww. With Damon." Caroline says

"Says the one who happily jumped in bed with me. I wasn't so eww then." Damon says

"That's because I didn't know how much of a pyscho you are." Caroline tries to say in her defense.

"Well this isn't what we are here for." Stefan says trying to change the subject back on track.
