Chapter 42

Kai POV. 💛

  The last thing I heard before being taken into the bright light was"See you on the other side."

After I opened my eyes Geneviève was nowhere to be seen as I was still in the cave but I knew it worked. I heard freaking life in the distance.

I went to go stand up but I felt exhaustion from I'm guessing the spell.

I sat there for a minute until I heard voices in the distance, then I knew I had to run because I'm defenseless without any source of magic.

I started running farther in the forest to scout out who was there. As I hid amongst the trees, I heard the most beautiful voice.

"He should be here. He couldn't went far because the spell should have effected him as well." I heard a girl say.

As I watched from afar I could feel her magic. She's a witch.

"He's hiding Bon Bon. I can hear his heart beating." I heard another voice says as I hid farther into the trees.

"What's he's hiding for? We're not going to hurt him." The third voice says

"But he doesn't know that." The girl says before shouting, "You can come out now! Geneviève sent us!"

For a second I debated if I should come out but do remember Geneviève saying that her mates and her cousin was helping her release me.

"Then where's Geneviève?" I asked revealing myself.

As I came out I had no idea what happened to the girl that she froze as she watched but I think she's blushing.

"Well to answer your question. She's back at home as resting because the spell did a number on her as I'm guessing it did on you." One of the guys says standing in front of me.

"And you are?" I asked wanting to know their name's

"I'm Kol." The brown hair guy said

"I'm Damon and this is Bonnie." The other guy says as he seems amused by the girls state.

"Is she's alright? Her face is a little red." I said not fully understanding emotions and everything."

"Yup, Bon Bon is doing great. Let's get you back to the house and we'll explain more." Damon says

As we drove through mystic falls, I looked at the buildings that I've seen maybe thousands of times over but now it's alive.

There are people sitting around with friends and having lunch at the grill. Some take a walk in the park, while others play with their children.

Soon all of the people faded and we stopped in front of a mansion.

"This is the house?"I asked in shock because it looks even more extravagant than the Salvatore Residence.

"My brother, Klaus tends to out do himself at times." Kol says

As we got out of the car, Damon and Kol looked at me then each other and we were in agreement that something was wrong.

"What?" Bonnie says looking at us but we just ran in the house.

"Klaus!" Kol yelled as we followed running up the stairs.

Whoever Klaus is never answered but we followed Kol into what looked like a girl's room to see Genevieve being held by two guys. It looks like she's just been crying.

"What happened we were only gone for like 20 minutes?" Damon asks concerned sitting on the bed.

I certainly felt out of place in all this as they crowded around her and comforted her while I stayed at the door. Well until Bonnie came and stood beside me...

"She had another vision." I heard the one in the suit say as the other just held Geneviève close as he was fuming in anger.

"I hate to ask what it was about by the look of Klaus's face." Damon says

"About an old friend."who now I know is Klaus says

"What does this friend have to do with Geneviève?" Bonnie asks making them all turn their heads to us.

"Nothing. He has absolutely nothing to do with Geneviève because we're not going anywhere." Klaus says

And everyone stays quiet cause I'm guessing we all can feel his anger just radiating into the room. And I now stood there fearing his wrath and I've just got here.

Geneviève finally turned to look at me with her eyes red from crying as she watched me.

  "You're scaring him." She says looking up at Klaus

He finally looked at me for the first time then back at her and I could feel the tension ease in the room.

"Sorry, it's not towards you. Anyways my name is Klaus." He says introducing himself.

"And I'm Elijah Mikaelson."the one in suit says standing to shake my hand.

"Hi, and I'm Kai, which you guys probably already know." I said and Klaus huffed annoyed.

Elijah looked at him like he knew what he was thinking and turned back to me, "yes, we do. Geneviève and Bonnie here as gone a great deal to find you."

"And I appreciate it." I said trying to find the words for what I was feeling which causes Geneviève to look at me with a questioning look.

Klaus noticed and asked her "What's wrong, little wolf?"

She looked at him then smiled at me and said "Nothing. Nothing's wrong."

I knew what she was thinking at that moment and she's right. I haven't felt like this in a long time or even at all really.
