*** So I can understand if you're all upset with me... I haven't uploaded anything in the past how long so it's completely acceptable if I start getting hate mail ;P but my absence has been 80% no time to write, 15% computer problems and 5% laziness. I'm not expecting anybody to forgive me anytime soon, especially because this chapter isn't exactly compensation for my long time away but hopefully it can hold you for a little while? Probably not... I'm really sorry for the shortness! It's really difficult to going from a long chapter to an incredibly short one but... I don't have much time today! I'll try to upload again soon! Happy reading!***

“Good evening.” His voice could be compared to silk amongst the silence of the common room. The only other faint sound that could be heard was the cackling of the wood being burned the fire. She hadn’t physically seen him in months, but in this moment she couldn’t bring herself to look into his eyes.

“Erm… hullo… what brings you down here Se-“

“Nevermind that,” he interrupted quickly, but with a low voice, “there are a few things we need to have a chat about. Follow me to my office won’t you?” he stood, leading the two from the Slytherin common room. She stared at his back as he walked ahead, opening the door to his classroom and then to his office.

He ushered her in, closing the door hesitantly behind her. He let out a deep sigh and she took a seat next to his large oak desk. He looked down at her, she could feel his eyes bearing down into her skull. There were so many things running through her mind. What could he want to talk about?

“So… you wanted to talk to me about something… or multiple things… so you can just go ahead and I’ll stop talking now…” she bit her lip. There was nothing but silence. She began to slightly tremble under his gaze, which she was too afraid to meet.

“We’ll start with minor things and work our way up then shall we?” he tensed up and began to circle her chair very slowly. She felt her heartbeat begin to beat faster, and she sat silently waiting for whatever heat he was about to give her.

“Right… so what brings you to be out of bed at this hour?” he questioned. That was it? She could have laughed.

                “I’m always-“

“Yes I’m aware… and it’s not acceptable. I suggest you tell me a good enough reason before I give you a month’s worth of detention with Filch in the Dark Forrest.” He threatened. She was a bit taken back. He was acting more rude than usual. Was it because of what happened last night?

“Okay… well I was figuring out that blasted golden egg from the first task. The second task is coming up just around the corner. Sue me for trying to win the tournament.” She snapped, looking up to face him. He noted quickly there was something different about the way she looked at him… different from the past few months… it slightly reminded him of how she used to…

“No…” he muttered to himself, quietly enough for her not have heard him. “Fine,” he cleared his throat, “then that brings us to last night.” He changed the subject.

                “What about last night?”

“You know damned well what! What we did was-“

                “Wonderful? At long last? Amazing?”

“… Inappropriate!” there was a long silence between the two or at least ten seconds. Neither of them spoke. She stared at him dead in the eyes, sending chills down his spine.
