P.S I've changed it to third person because... well I like it like that! :) enjoy! comment pleeeeease? :)***

She slowly made her way out to the Quidditch field. It was Slytherin tryouts this afternoon, which she was extremely excited and nervous about at the same time. She took in a deep breath and swallowed the lump in her throat when it all opened up in front of her.

She had high hopes of making the team, and desperately wanted to be a Keeper. She could only hope silently to herself she was good enough for that. She had her broom in hand, and looked up at the sky as she walked into the arena with Max at her side.

She looked up at the sky, noting the baby blue color and gentle puffy clouds as they rolled on by overhead. There was a slight breeze, and the humidity had really died down since this morning, an absolutely glorious day for playing.

She gave him a push in the direction of the rest of their family. They were sitting high up in a pitch, anxious to watch. They waved frantically when they had her attention. She smiled at the sight of them, and waved back, turning to the other players.

They were divided into groups depending on what position they were after. She had been placed with two other Slytherins, both sixth year, both male, and both extremely arrogant and cocky. Daniel and Lawrence were the names she recollected.

She could beat them easily, they were both too proud of themselves to actually give an effort to try. They both thought too highly of themselves. They  would both slack it off, and think they’ll get by because they’re ‘that good.’ She could have laughed.

She was thrown a Quaffle from Madam Hooch. The feel of the ball called out to her in a way that was more than human... more than magic. A connection. She raised an eyebrow at the ball, glancing over to the flying instructor.

“Madam Hooch?” she called out. Hooch turned her head, and gave her a small smile, waiting for her question, “what is this ball made of exactly?” she asked curiously. She tossed it back to her, and she threw it up a few inches and caught it again. She had never really touched a Quaffle before.

“Oh this? It’s thick plastic, but it has a very thing layer of stone underneath for protection and support... then it’s just hollow.” she gave it back, and continued her conversation with a few of the younger students. Lennox smiled to herself.

Stone. That would even help her chances more. Daniel, Lawrence, and Lennox mounted their brooms quickly and flew up towards the hoops, while last year’s captain was explaining to them what they would be doing today.

Daniel had elected to go first. He snickered to himself, smirking and whispering praise to himself as he neared the middle ring. She crossed her arms and sat back, readying herself to enjoy the ‘show.’ It would not be long before he would be eliminated.

Basically the rule is, if the player misses five balls or more, than he or she would definitely not be making the team. It was as simple as that. Daniel prepared slightly for what was coming next, learning forward on his broom.

“Okay. GO!” the captain ordered the Chasers that were trying out. They practiced passing it back and forth between each other while opposing Chasers tried to get the ball away from them to head the other direction. The ball was thrown.

The open hand that rested on her thigh subtly closed, causing the ball to move to the left merely inches, and Daniel missed. There was a loud ding! The ball had gone through the goal. Daniel had missed his first shot, and he was absolutely dumbfounded.
