29. Only Love Can Hurt Like This

The evening has just begun, starting with their welcome ceremony being held by their seniors who have prepared a set of programs for them.

The juniors were instructed to find spots to sit in the middle of the hall of the venue, where there were numerous chairs for them to sit and enjoy the stage events which were decorated just as perfectly as the youthful charms present in it.

They all were instructed to sit with their respective partners until the event would start with their hosts being Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin, their very famous seniors of the university welcoming them for their Freshers night.

Jungkook sat with Rebecca for sure but made V sit next to him on the other side of himself for some moral support while V had Stacy on his spare side.

They chose to sit in the middle rows, being 5th while they could see Jimin and Taehyung in the 1st row with their respective partners out of which Yoongi had to get up and leave as he was part of one of the welcoming events.

He gave a pat on Jimin's head before leaving which V could clearly see from the back, only leaving out a sigh after looking away.

While for Jungkook he couldn't stop staring at Taehyung's back who was continuously talking with Jimin and the man next to him, seeming so eager about the night which Jungkook couldn't understand why.

He decided to look away as well just to only find himself under his eyes all around the venue, the shimmery walls reminding him of something. The shimmery flares he remembers sticking all around it with someone.

That day was just a perfect day, the perfect last day if he remembers because right after it some meaningless distance grew between him and Taehyung that he couldn't understand.

He had so much fun with him but suddenly they were miles away even when they were just a few meters away.

And he hated the feeling. Yet he expected nothing from the night either.

Rest of the students were still busy taking their respective places, wherever they could find and in Taehyung's sight came his new best friends.

"Oh hi!" He greeted the girls, Wendy and Yeri dressed pretty well for the evening, paired up together, holding hands coming to his way.

Jimin smiled at the ladies too. Both the males got up to have a light chat with the girls.

"Are they Wendy and Yeri, you told me about?" Jimin asked Taehyung who nodded and he then called the girls over to find a place to sit next to him and his partner Wooshik in the free space and not forgetting to introduce Jimin with them.

"Hi guys!"

"Oh hi ladies!"

"This is Jimin, my soulmate." As Taehyung introduced Yeri waved at him excitedly.

"Wow, he's just as cute as you." As she complimented Jimin rolled his eyes sassily with a playful smile.

"Girl, saying when you're slaying yourself." Jimin said dramatically and Yeri smiled so big at his attitude.

"Aww, will you be my friend like Taehyung? I always wanted to have friends like you, sassy and cool." Yeri exclaimed like an excited child, causing Jimin to smile at her.

"Wait, aren't we already friends?" As he said, both were already throwing hands to each other for high fives and Wendy & Taehyung could just simply laugh at them.

"Wait, did you two come together?" Wendy then asked and Jimin shook his head.

"Oh no, I came with Yoongi."

"Huh, as in Min Yoongi the rockstar and the basketball team captain?" Wendy asked and Jimin flipped his hair with his hand sassily.

"Got that just right, yeah that's my man tonight." As Jimin said Yeri was already fangirling her new gay friend.
