You were relieved when Appa got 'sick' as bad as that sounds. You convince the gaang to stay in town with you and play with kids and keep the little river town happy. Katara did little water bending shows for the kids and adults, Sokka told the adults some far fetched tales of his adventures before he met us. Toph talked with some of the women about wedding plans and she told them about how her and Sokka's love grew. Aang stood around awkwardly following you around the town as you helped cook, weave baskets, and sew clothes for the people. Aang began to wander away from you and you felt like it was a bad idea for him to do so. So you took a break and ran after jumping over little kids. You caught him outside the sick house. You rested a hand n his shoulder.
"Do you think these people will ever be healthy?" Aang asked you softly. You stepped in front of him bending slightly so you were eye to eye with him. His grey eyes were light with sorrow.
"Of course I do Aang. I realize they don't have great medicine and all but this town has been fighting to survive, they don't give up easily. They will get better because they have reasons to fight, reasons to get better." You told Aang, he never looked more like a sad little kid in all of the time you knew him. His eyes were big and filled with tears and he looked scared to. You couldn't help but embrace the kid.
"I'm sorry, I feel like I've failed you. Hurt you. Leaned on you too much." Aang told you sniffling a little.
"Oh Aang, You could never fail me or hurt me or lean on me. I'm here to help you take some hits and for you to lean on okay. You will never be alone Aang. This is family and what it's for." You told him, he broke the hug looking better than he did before. You realized that he is still a kid with way to much weight on his shoulders. It wasn't fair to him. Screw the world and it's problems, let him be a kid again.
"You have other family too though." A voice snapped sarcastically. You turned and saw Sokka there tapping his foot.
"Leave Zuko out of this." You snapped. Sokka threw a piece of paper at you. You looked at him skeptically.
"You wrote to him?!" Sokka yelled his blue eyes darkening as you unrolled the letter.
"So. What. " You hissed at him.
"He is the enemy, you need to get over him. Soon, before we leave this town soon." Sokka ordered you angrily.
"Sure when you get over Yu Ay maybe." You challenged the water tribe boy. Sokka stormed off and you let Aang run after him. You unrolled the letter.
(YN),
It's not my brother I'm sorry to disappoint. I figured you would want to know how he has really been. He's miserable and angry and confused enough to visit Iroh. I have ordered my men to hunt you and only you because now that you are the Avatar and all your pretty wanted. But Zuko doesn't want you dead no matter how much he says he does The palace has been pretty boring since you left so I'm intrigued for your return.

You were in a state of shock. You walked to the docks watching as the gang's boat left and went across the river. You pulled your knees you your chest as you sat on the docks. They think your the enemy. The one not to be trusted. You let out a shaky cry when a little girl crawled into your lap. You hugged her like a teddy bear.
"Why are you crying?" She asked you quietly
"I just lost my family, again." You whispered hoarsely.

You met Katara or The Painted Lady at the factory again. Sneaking through the metal work quickly and with ease. You each snatched up medicine before launching the fog over the rive and made your way to the sick house. You both healed both halves quickly when a little kid that rested with his father for comfort looked you in the eye as you healed his father. He jumped up and hugged you tightly.
"Thank you Water Woman, for the food, for bringing (YN) back to us, and for well everything." He whispered, he was crying tears of joy when you ruffled his hair playfully and left. You washed off the make up quickly and changed into your normal clothes and curled into a ball sleeping on the hard wooden floors that held the town up.
————————————————————-The next Day—————————————————————
When you woke up the gaang was making their way towards the town. You looked away from Sokka's cold blue eyes tears stinging your eyes. You really had lost your family because Toph wouldn't look at you her eyes colder than usual. You stood for your spot stretching hearing all the pops and cracks of your joints. You walked over to them.
"The town got help again last night. Their sick have all been healed." You said softly.
"Good for them." Sokka said sarcastically. "But if those spirit ladies really wanna help then they should destroy the factory." He snapped.
"Yeah with spirit magic like wooooooooweeeee *explosion sounds*" Toph continued smirking at her fiancé.
"Spirit magic doesn't work that way, it's more like lllooooololololooooo then *explosion sounds* " Aang added with a laugh, Katara raised an angry eyebrow.
"You both are so off. It's poolloooweeeloloweoeplop *explosion sounds*" Sokka laughed, they seemed to ignore your presence. They all began making their spirit magic sounds. You sighed and left them to their aggravating spirit sounds. You found some paper and wrote down a note and walked off to the fire nation factory. You needed to talk to Zuko to get to Iroh for help.
