Beau and I parted. I looked up at Luke he just stood there in the doorway, his curly hair flying in all directions, and he wasn't wearing a shirt, it was really awkward. Then he casually walked out of my room.
I got up and followed him out into the kitchen. He was looking in the fridge acting like nothing happed. I just stood there looking at him. He turned to me. "Why didn't you tell me Lyla?" He asked sympathetically. "What is there to tell?" I said walking over to him. "That your obviously Beau's girl." He replied shutting the fridge.
"I'm not his girl. We just went on one date and kissed, that doesn't make me his, and that date wasn't even planned. He just said it, because, I don't know maybe he was jealous of you or something."
I thought to myself for a second, what was I doing? Did I like Beau? Or was I just using him? Using him for what, to make Luke jealous? "Alright." He said nonchalantly, and opened the fridge once again.
I walked back in my room Beau was sitting on the bed looking at his phone. "What are we?" I asked. "What do you mean?" He looked up from his phone." I mean what would you consider us, me and you, our relationship." I sat on the bed next to him. "Well, what do you want our relationship to be." He smiled.
I thought for a moment, asking myself that question. I didn't exactly want to be his girl. But if I said I wanted to be "good friends" would it hurt him? "Good friends." I announced thinking about what I just said, it seemed really stupid coming from the same person who practically made out with him a few moments ago. "Alright, that's fine." He said faking a smile. I smiled back. Then he walked out of the room. I felt kind of bad. But to me we were basically just a fling.
I straightened my hair then got dressed in jean shorts, a black tank top, and light-blue vans. Then I walked out into the kitchen and grabbed an apple. Luke was eating some toast at the kitchen table. I sat down next to him, and then I checked my phone to see what time it was, 12 pm.
"So do you want to hang out today at the beach?" I asked him. "Sure, but we have to do Daresundays later, you can be in it too, if you want." Luke said taking a bite of toast.
"Okay."I smiled." What challenge are we doing?" "The salt challenge, you have to eat a table spoon of salt." He said standing up and putting his dishes in the sink. "Yum." I laughed. He looked at me and smiled. "Alright I'm gonna go get dressed he said then we can go hang out."
I sat eating my apple than Jai walked in the back door. "Hey." I said. "Where have you been?" "I went for a walk." He said calmly sitting at the table with me. "Oh, well me and Luke are going to the beach, do you want to come?" I asked him.
"No, I think I'll just stay here I wouldn't want to intrude." Jai winked. "Um okay." I laughed. I went into my room and put my light blue bikini, some jean shorts and sandals on then went into the living room. Luke was sitting on the couch. "You ready to go?" he asked. "Yeah let's go." I smiled. "Okay hold on I have to ask Beau if I can use his car." He went into Beaus room. Then he came out with the car keys.
We arrived at the beach it was a perfect day, there was a light wind and the sun was shining. I laid out my towel, took my cover up off and laid on my stomach so I could get some more sun. Luke plopped down next to me and took off his shirt, revealing his perfect abs. I looked at up at him smirking.
He settled down and then looked at his phone. After awhile I asked him "How are you and Ellie." It was a question that had been on my mind lately. I never asked him how his date was.
"Ehh, I don't think there is a me and Ellie." He replied looking out at the ocean. "Why's that?" I said softly. "I don't think she's right for me as a girlfriend, she's just not my type you know?" I nodded.
