Chapter 27: Decisions

"I'm pregnant."

"What!"

"Will you...please tell Jai? I can't tell him myself...I'm too...afraid."

"Sure but Linds what are you going to do? You're 17 you have your whole life ahead of you."

"I know, okay. But there's nothing I can do. I'm not even going to think about abortion. I'm sure Jai wouldn't either."

"You'll need to talk to him sometime, after I tell him."

"I know...I will. I just need time to think right now."She says.

"Have you told your parents?"

"No and I won't until I start showing."

"Did the doctor say how far along you were?"

"Yeah, like barely two and a half weeks."

"Oh....Did he give you any medication or anything?"

"No, But I have another check up on January 27th."

"Alright...well I'll tell Jai when they get back Okay?"

"Thank you Lyla"

"You're welcome....If you need to talk about anything call me."

"Bye."

'Bye."

I hang up the phone, and think for a while. How am I going to tell Jai?

Suddenly, I hear the boys walk in.

"Lyla?" yells Luke coming down the hall.

He opens the door. "Hey."

I get up and hug him. "Hi...you're sweaty." I laugh.

"Yeah I'm gonna go get a quick shower, then we'll go to the beach."

I nod as he walks off, towards the bathroom.

I need to find Jai. I walk out to the living room. Him and Beau are sitting on the couch, listening to music.

"Jai?"

"Yeah?" he says.

"Can I talk to you...alone?"

Beau looks up at me. "Why can't I know?"

I flash him a 'This is serious look', and he gets the clue.

"Yeah sure."

We walk to his room and shut the door.

"What's up?"

I sit down on his bed and take a deep breath.

"Okay...so, Lindsay called me...."

"Shit."

"And she said she got a test done and it said that she is...Pregnant."

He closes his eyes tightly, running his hand through his hair. "This isn't good..."

'It'll be alright."

"No...I already have a girlfriend, and it was all a big mistake."

"What! Who?"

"Ariana. We took a break for a while and that's when I met Lindsay. But now...We're back on and this is not good."

I'm still in shock. Why didn't I know about this before? Lindsay is gonna be hurt.

"Ariana who?"

"Grande."

"What? How do you even know her...?"

"We met online...but what are we gonna do about Lindsay? I'm not ready to be a dad, and I don't want my kid to be fatherless like I was."

"I think you need to call Lindsay."

He nods. "Yeah."

Suddenly Luke walks in. "What's going on?"

I lead him out the door leaving Jai alone to talk to Linds.

"Lindsay's...pregnant with Jai's baby."

"What! But he's with Ariana." Says Luke.

"Shhh!  I know. Lindsay's gonna be hurt." I look up at him he has a big smile spread across his face.

"How can you possibly be happy at a time like this?" I laugh.

"I'm going to be and uncle." He says excitedly. "And this proves that I'm the smarter twin."

I roll my eyes then walk off to my room. He follows and we sit down on the bed together.

"I know what would make Jai feel better."

"What?" I ask.

"If I got you pregnant too." Says Luke kissing my cheek softly.

"Uhh no. There's a lot of things I want to do and see before I have a baby."

"Like what?"

"Go to college, travel the world...get married." I smile.

"Where do I come in?"

"At the get married part. If you're interested, that is."

"I am." He presses his warm lips to mine, then I remember Lindsay.

"I think we should keep this Jai and Lindsay thing from the fans, don't you?"

"Yeah, maybe we keep it from Mum too."

I nod in agreement. Then there's a long silence as we're both in thought.

"Hey do you still want to go to the beach." He asks.

"Yeah, what else have we got to do?"

Luke, Beau and I head to the Beach leaving Jai in his thoughts. Then we head to James' house for a bit then we come home.

We tell Beau about Lindsay, and you can tell he cares.

We're all sitting in the living room when Jai walks out. We all stare at him waiting for him to tell us about his talk with her.

Nothing.

"Well??" Says Luke.

Jai sits down. "We haven't made any decisions yet..."

"Well what did she say about Ariana?" I ask.

"She already knew."

"Oh..."

"How are you going to tell Ari?" Asks Beau.

"I don't know! God Beau.." Says Jai angrily then he walks off to his room slamming the door behind him.

"Well..." Says Luke standing up. "I think I'll go to bed. Night babe." He says planting a kiss on my forehead.

"Night...Love you."

"Love you too." He walks off to his room.

"Well this day has been eventful." Laughs Beau."Wanna watch a movie?"

"Sure."

"Bridesmaids?"

"Sounds good!" I say. I get half way through the movie before drifting off to sleep.

I wake up when someone lays a blanket on me. I look up to see Luke's beautiful brown eyes staring down at me.

"Luke?" He lifts me up, and carries me off down the hall to my room.

"Shhh..go back to sleep." He lays me down in my bed. Then he shuts off the light and walks off to his own room.

I want him to stay..but I understand that Jai needs him now.

I fall asleep thinking about Lindsay. I can't imagine how she feels right now...
