Author's Note:
I had a whole plan for this chapter... And then when I finally wrote it, I was like "that's it? That was my whole plan?" so I had some writer's block at some points. Don't you just love writer's block? Yes. LOL. Anyways, here you go! Sorry, no Brandon in this one but he will definitely be back next chapter!

Chapter 24 (Girl V.S. Boy)
I went home later that night, telling my father and sister everything. My dad proceeded to console me by hugging me awkwardly and simply saying that “everything is going to be alright” while my sister planned an emergency shopping spree for me. Soon after, I got a phone call. “Hello?” I answered.
“Seven days,” I heard a raspy voice say, with laughter in the background.
I frowned, looking back at my phone screen. I rolled my eyes in amusement. “Hello boys,” I say.
“Ugh, how did she find out?!” I heard Jacob say in the background, making me laugh. “What are you up to?” Matthew asked.
“Nothing much, just got home,” I stated.
“From where?” Matthew asked, as if he already knew I went to Brandon’s.
I let out a tiny laugh. “You should know already.”
I heard loud laughs on the other end. “Elle wants the D!” Matthew said to Jacob, ending with them both laughing loudly into my ear.
“No!” I said, rolling my eyes.
Matthew laughed again before calming himself down. “Just kidding! What are you doing tomorrow for lunch? Do you already have plans or whatever?”
“No, why?”
“Jacob and I are asking if you want to come out with us for lunch. I won’t be able to find a babysitter for Leah on such short notice so we’ll be bringing her with us,” Matthew said, a grin evident on his face.
As he said that, I realized I have never seen Jacob with Leah. That would be interesting to see. “Sure, but how come?” I asked.
“I think it’s pretty obvious why we are asking you,” Matthew said, hinting something.
“Why?” I asked, completely oblivious.
“Smoochie, smoochie! Oh, Brandon, you are such a good kisser! Yum, yum, yum!” Matthew and Jacob moaned.
I glared at my phone before putting it back to my ear. “I did not make out with him! It was one little kiss!”
“Oh, so you did kiss him!” Matthew exclaimed, laughing.
“Brandon told you, right?” I asked, hoping he didn’t hear it from somebody else.
“Yeah, he did and I want to hear all about it! Jacob and I will pick you up around eleven! Be ready!” Matthew said, before hanging up without another word.
“Okay, so tell us all about it,” Matthew said, folding his hands together on the table top. I was sitting by myself on one side of the booth, with Leah, Jacob, and Matthew on the other side. It was really weird seeing Jacob being so attached to Leah, letting her sit on his lap while he was about to listen to my story.
“Well… He kissed me! What else is there to say?” I asked, shrugging.
Jacob smirked. “It’s not really anything to ‘say’. What was his body language? How did he act towards you? Anything different?”
