The next chapter after "tis the damn season" will contain my own case one that wasn't on the show, I'll try to do that more and I will still use some of the show's storylines and episodes obviously

"In name and blood"
She had decided a long time ago that she would not do what Strauss wanted her to do, she thought she could continue working with the team despite her threats but the latest case proved to her that Strauss was not going to let that go, she was serious, she called her in the middle of them working on a case and Emily knew that this call wasn't innocent and she actually just wanted to remind her that she had to make a decision, she wouldn't be able to continue working at the BAU if she didn't give her information. That was when Emily decided she was done trying to ignore that and she was going to leave, she couldn't betray the team she couldn't betray him.

The morning came fast and she was supposed to go to the office and resign, it was already done, she appeared on the list for taking the foreign service exam but she was still scared thinking about standing in front of him will he be sad or maybe he'll feel relieved she's leaving, she wasn't sure what his reaction would be and she hated that, a knock on her door snapped her out of her thoughts she shouldn't have been so surprised seeing her friend standing in front of her.
"you shouldn't be here" Emily said surprised, Penelope Garcia was the last person she thought she'll have to deal with today she knew why she came and it made her sad having to send her away with no explanation
"neither should you! you should be with the team we have a new case" she said entering Emily's apartment her arms crossed over her chest like an angry kid that sight made Emily's brows frown with affection
"Penelope please" Emily said softly, she really didn't want to do this now she didn't want to have to deal with any of the team members and Penelope was the one she was afraid to face the most she was the first team member to welcome her and having to face and lie to her was agonizing.
"you can't leave us why are you leaving?" Penelope cut off her pleading "I just don't think I can do this job" Penelope didn't believe her she knew how excited Emily was about joining the team it made no sense for her to leave "you are lying Emily! please is there anything I can do?" She asked desperately tears in her eyes Emily sighed she was avoiding looking into her eyes but she couldn't do that anymore
"I'm not lying Pen I need to leave please don't make this harder" Emily put her hands on her shoulders to console her and gave her a small smile as to prove to her that it's okay, Penelope wiped away a tear.
She was like an endless sunshine Emily hated the fact that she was the reason she's shedding tears, She never imagined someone would love her that much. Not after Aaron and she was so grateful to have people who did. to have someone who finds it painful she is leaving just like she did.
but now Emily wished she didn't. she wished it didn't effected Penelope that much
Emily was heartbroken.
"you just joined us we can't lose you" she whispered Emily became one of her favorite people and an important part of their team she didn't want to lose her so soon
"I'm not going to disappear I promise we will talk every day and we'll visit each other and have our girls night with JJ" she said jokingly trying to comfort her, Penelope laughed
"it'll be fine" Emily assured her wiping a tear from her face Penelope nodded she did know Emily will not neglect their friendship but it wasn't enough "does the others know?" She asked defeated
