"I'm sorry for coming this early, Haley was supposed to pick him up this morning but she's stuck in traffic and I have to go to work" Jessica said, holding sleepy Jack in her arms, it was early, too early for Jack to be awake.
"Don't apologise Jessica it's okay thank you" he took Jack from her and she kissed his head
"Okay Jack I'm leaving, your mom will come soon" he nodded and waved her goodbye his head on Aaron's shoulder
"Hey buddy, did you have fun with your aunt?" It seemed like the question shook the tiredness out of him as he raised his head "Yes! we watched movies all night" he answered excitedly Aaron found it weird Jack spent the night with Jessica but he found it even weirder Haley was still not able to pick him up in time, where was she all this time?
"Good morning Hotch" JJ said walking towards him with Penelope who's face changed instantly with pure enthusiasm "is that?..." She asked and paused to run to the small child in his father's arms
"Hi Nelly" Jack said waving to her
"Hey baby" she answered back quietly
"I can't believe he remembers you" JJ whispered
"it's because I actually visited" Penelope answered proudly, Aaron smiled at her answer, JJ found it hard to visit because she felt like Haley disliked her, when she and Hotch started having troubles she was the one she called to complain about her husband being away, it got worse after their night at the bar, she was the one who told Aaron they're needed and ever since that day JJ felt like she hated her, so she tried not to initiate any contact.
"Don't you have a meeting with Strauss today?" she asked Hotch, ignoring Penelope's comment
"I do" He looked at his watch, Strauss should come in any minute, he felt Jack's hands tightening around his neck he didn't know what to do "you can go Hotch, Jack can stay with us" Penelope said gently pinching Jack's nose making him laugh and gradually release his grip on his father's neck
"Are you sure?" Aaron asked he wasn't convinced it a good idea, he didn't know for how long he'll be gone but he had no other choice
"Yeah of course! We haven't seen him in ages" JJ reassured him making him feel more at ease
"Would you like to join us Jack? I have some pretty cool stuff to show you" Penelope asked softly and stretched her hands out for him
"Kay Nelly" he said and moved into her arms Penelope was still not used to his nickname for her and she smiled widely.
"Thank you I'll try to make it quick" he said kissing his son goodbye and leaving him with them

Emily entered the bullpen to see there was something under her desk, she raised an eyebrow and came closer to find a small figure under her desk
"Hey you..." she sat in her chair and looked under her table
"shhh I'm hiding" he said with his finger placed in front of his lips, Emily chuckled and covered her mouth with her hands then got up from her chair and bent down
"I'm sorry, what's your name?" She whispered
