Chapter 18: When Extremes meet: Part: 1

A/n: This is a longggg one, my dudes :)

I watch as my three friends arrive at the docks of Air Temple Island. 

I can't help but feel sorry for them. First, they lost their jobs, and then they lost their home. Not to mention that Asami basically lost her father due to him taking Amon's side in this war.

On the upside, It will be a lot easier for me to keep up with things going on in their lives. And with them living on the same damn Island, I know that they will be safe from Amon and the equalists. 

I observe the air-bending kids as they surround Asami and the boys. Meeko is clearly hitting on Mako.
A chuckle escapes me and I hold my stomach as I watch the boys interact with the Air Bender children. 

Bolin is asking questions about the island being vegetarian, and if they have to wear acolyte clothing, if we each get out own Sky Bison, and how many trees are on the Island. 

It doesn't surprise me at the velocity she released her answers due to her hyper tendencies. 

I shrug my shoulders and approach the group. I hold my arms open and hug Asami tightly and welcome her to the Island. I follow with Mako with giving him an awkward side hug, more of an acknowledgment that he is here and he is my friend? I think?

Lastly, Bolin... I take my time and capture him in my arms. He wraps his powerful earthbender arms around me.

Part of me is curious about what we are. We hang out a lot and I know we have shared quite a few  "romantic" moments. 

I enjoy being friends with him though, he makes me laugh and he listens to what I have to say even when I am being a bit irrational. He is always kind and caring as well. 

I don't want to ruin the group dynamic either. There is already enough sexual tension between Korra and Mako, despite Mako dating Asami.

Bolin pulls me from my thoughts by rubbing circles on my shoulders, massaging the stress I keep there.

I smile and remember that even though Amon is out there, I still have my friends. I still have Bolin by my side. 

I let go of him first, eager to get everyone settled in their new room. 

Bolin goes to protest, but Meelo pops in with impeccable timing. 

"Boys have to stay on the Boy's side"  He says emphasizing the boys in both parts of the sentence.

He doesn't stop there....

Meelo turns to Asami with a smoldering look on his face. 

"We shall meet again soon, beautiful woman"  He says winking to Asami before running after the boys. 

I roll my eyes and watch as Jinora leads the boys to their respectable rooms. Bolin looks back for a moment and I give a little wave to Bo. as he walks away with Mako and Meelo to the boy's side.

Fortunately, I know a shortcut between the two sides. I'll just show Bolin later. 

I turn to Korra and Asami and the two of them already started walking towards the girls rooms. Both being led by Ikki. 

Well this is going to be good. Ikki is notorious for making people feel uncomfortable. I wonder what she is gonna say to make us cringe today.

I jog to catch up with the group, and I must have had good timing because Ikki just started speaking to Asami.

"Hey Asami? Did you know Korra likes Mako?" Ikki says quickly and leaning into to let us know she meant to be super nosey. 

I put a hand up over my mouth trying to contain the chortle that was about to come out.
