A/N: Just realized that this book is at 85,000 words... I had to do some organizing since I forgot some things... anyways back to our un-regularly scheduled Chapter
I had a hard time falling asleep last night, and for once it had nothing to do with Amon.
My thoughts were racing and my heart was beating so fast after having that conversation with Bo.
I feel like we have known each other for years when in reality we have only known each other for a couple of months. Probably less.
When I finally tired out the sun began to rise, I still closed my eyes hoping to get just a couple of hours of sleep.
I was so very wrong about that, I was asleep for exactly 30 minutes before Meelo raced down the hall screaming about some weird dream he had about Korra having the ears of a lemur and Me having the horns of an air bison.
That is one crazy kid.
And that leads me to this very moment, slumped at the breakfast table waiting for something to fill my stomach and some warm liquid to give me energy for the day.
Spirits I hope the tea is caffeinated this morning, otherwise someone may not make it through the day.
That someone is me.
While in a daze, on the verge of falling asleep, the hairs on my arm stand up as a hand touches my back and rubbing small circles on it. Without a doubt it is Bolin. For a moment I kind of forgot that he lived here too, just in the male dormitory.
I look up at him and see him wide awake, without a single dark circle under his eyes.
Excited to see me, he wraps his arms around my shoulders before placing a kiss on my forehead.
Butterflies flutter around in my stomach and my cheeks feel a bit warm. A smile grows on my face as he sits right beside me, leaning his elbow on the table and resting his head in his hand.
"Good morning Kari, you look rather beautiful ." he says with a smirk on his face.
"Good morning to you too Bo, and I think the word you are looking for is tired. How are you this cheery so early in the morning?" I ask in a raspy voice, surprising myself with how rough it sounds.
He shrugs his shoulders and replies, "Because I know I get to see you when I wake up now."
I raise my eyebrow with question and decided not to answer his cheeky reply. Before another "clever" phrase can escape his mouth the tea pot is set on the table by one of the Air acolytes.
I nod my appreciation towards them and without skipping a beat a grab the teapot and quickly investigate the tea.
Bolin watches me intently, wondering if this moment could effect the rest of the day.
To my disappointment when I open the lid its oolong tea. It's still a delicious tea... Its normally the one that Tenzin drinks in the morning.
I place the lid delicately back on the porcelain pot and follow with hitting my forehead on the table.
"Looks like, I am going to waste away. It's the end Bo, you'll have to go on with out me." I act out dramatically as I fake faint into his lap.
"Oh no, what am I to do? How will I go on without the vice-avatar Sakari?" He continues the act and I elbow him in the ribs.
I sit up to face him and he is rubbing his side. "What was that for? " He questions with puppy dog eyes, obviously still acting.
"That's for the bad acting sir and the vice-avatar comment." I state ruthlessly
