Chapter 24

We all turned around, seeing Morbius leaning against the door frame in front of us. Jake pulls me into his arms and takes the sword back out, along with everybody else.

"You've lost, brother." Damien says, standing in front of us. He looks at us, and his eyes say to run. We we're going to leave the backpacks behind as we can always get more when we stop at an island.

"I'm just getting started." Morbius shouted, looking at me, growling. Jake growls back. Morbius then transforms into his wolf, and Damien transforms into his griffin.

"RUN." Xavier says, and immediately we all turn and run as Morbius jumps over our heads. Jake held my hand tightly as we ran down the corridor.

"Where do we go." I shouted from the middle of the group. Joshua and Jake were behind me. I screamed, falling to the floor as a window smashed in front of me again.

"Aurora." Jake shouted and pulled me back. More glass in my body. I looked down, seeing another large piece of glass.

"No, not another one." I whimpered loudly, seeing the blood pouring through. Jake growls loudly before taking the glass out, I scream loudly as he pulls it out.

Joshua rips some of his shirt, and together, they tie my cut-up. It was bleeding heavily, and I could already see the blood soaking through Joshua's shirt.

"Move." Adrian shouted and pointed outside. We looked to see Morbius there watching us. Me. I cried as Jake pulled me up and dragged me towards the others. Being careful because now I've got cuts on both arms.

"Dead end." Xavier shouted angrily and punched the door that was locked. My eyes widened when there was a loud growl behind us. Morbius was here.

"Aurora." Jake shouted, grabbing my waist and pulling me behind him and the boys. Rosanna took my hand as did Periwinkle.

"She belongs to me." Morbius growled and got into a pouncing position.

"NO SHE DOESN'T. SHE'S MY WIFE. AURORA WILL NOT BE TAKEN AWAY FROM ME." Jake shouted angrily. I saw his neck veins when he shouted that towards Morbius, and I smiled when he called me his wife. Rosanna nudged my arm carefully.

"Wife." She jokingly whispered, making me smile. I love that word.

Morbius showed his teeth, not happy and pounced. Just as he got close, the window smashed again. Damien grabbed Morbius and flew him out the other side, making the other window smash. The boys put their hands up, protecting themselves. Us girls ducked, I didn't want any more glass touching me.

"We've got to get out of here." Xavier demands. We've got what we came for.

"Couldn't agree more." Jake said, taking my hand again, and we all ran towards the exit.

We had to stop a few times when we saw Morbius walking around the halls. But every time we saw him we went the other way. I then remembered the ball.

"The ball." I shouted, making everyone look at me before realising what I meant. Jake went through his pockets until he pulled out the ball. I walked up, taking it from his grasp, and walked away from them.

"Do you think they'll get here in time. We haven't seen Damien in a while." Rosanna says, scared.

"We've got to take our chances." I say strongly and rubbed the ball. It glowed for a few seconds before going out.

"Nothing happened." Joshua says. We all looked at each other.

There was an explosion underneath us, and the floor started to separate. I screamed, falling to the floor, looking at everyone in fear.
