Chapter 48

"NO." I shouted and watched as it made impact, and that side immediately went up in flames. Jake quickly grabbed me and pulled me into him as we watched that half break apart along with our friends and family went along with it.

Tears were falling from my eyes as I watched with my mouth wide open before I looked up at Jake, who had tears in his eyes, and as he looked down at me, a tear fell.

"JULIA." Joshua shouted again as I felt my legs being kicked from underneath me and arms pulling me away from Jake. I was in complete shock to do anything as I continued to watch where everyone we loved just was.

"RETREAT. WE'VE GOT WHAT WE CAME FOR." A man shouted above me as arms started to pull me up roughly, and I felt my body being dragged along the deck before I'm lifted up onto the plank.

"GET OFF ME." Hearing Jake shouting furiously brought me back as I shook my head before turning around and saw Dominic pulling me along the deck.

"YOU BASTARD." I shouted and started to pull my arms from Dominic's grip, who immediately held them tighter, and I'm sure there will be new bruises.

"QUICKLY. THE SHIP IS SINKING." Someone shouted as I was pushed to the floor on the new deck, and bodies fell down next to me.

"Aurora." Jake whispered, and I felt his arms wrapping around me. As soon as my head touched Jake's chest, the tears fell from my eyes.

"PREPARE TO SET SAIL." Someone shouted as I looked up and saw Xavier holding Rosanna to his chest as she cried hysterically. Behind them, I saw Joshua and Frédéric sitting quietly, but I could see the tears in both of their eyes.

"Finally. You're coming home." Christian said proudly, which made me look up from Jake's chest and glare at Christian and Dominic, who was standing next to him.

"YOU BASTARD." I shouted and pulled myself from Jake's arms, who shouted for me, but I took no notice and ran at Christian before lifting my right leg up and kicking him in the privates.

The sound of Christian shouting in pain as he fell down to the floor made me smile before I felt my head turn to the side and a stinging pain on my cheek as I was slapped.

"Let me." Christian demanded angrily as Dominic held my arms tightly. Christian stood up and walked over to me before pulling me against his chest, but I spat on his face before he could do anything and backed away.

"YOU ARE SICK. YOU DESERVE TO DIE AFTER EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE." I shouted before I felt arms wrapping around me tightly, and I knew it was Jake and Xavier.

"Calm down. I know you are furious. So am I but we need to think." Xavier whispered as Jake did the same in my other ear. I glared hard at Christian, who did it back before chuckling to himself.

"Your friends deserved it." Christian snapped before walking away. Joshua shouted and tried to run over, but he was quickly grabbed and hit over the head with a sword handle.

"YOU HAD NO RIGHT." Rosanna shouted as I knelt down next to Joshua, who had a cut on his forehead and was unconscious.

"I had every right. Take them downstairs to the cells. Get them out of my sight." Christian demanded and nodded to Dominic, who put his sword away after hiting Joshua.

Before I could wipe away the blood, I was pulled up, and I immediately struggled as we were all taken downstairs towards the cells, which were small and looked incredibly claustrophobic.

"No food or drink. Do not let them out of your sight." Dominic demanded as we were all shoved inside, and Joshua's body was thrown in before the cell door slammed shut.
