"They're all asleep master." Dominic whispered, but it was loud enough to wake me up. The door was slightly open still, but it let enough light through.

I raised my head from Jake's chest, who was snoring with his head back against the wall, but his arms were tightly around me and laying on our babies. My eyes adjusted, and I saw Joshua staring at the door as voices started to come through.

"Good. We must travel faster tomorrow. Hopefully, the rain stops." Christian said, and I watched as he walked in front of the door, but his back was facing us.

"Lord Barton is expecting us to arrive after lunchtime tomorrow." Dominic mumbled as I turned my head and saw Joshua looking at me.

"The day after, we'll leave and travel home. Dominic, I can't wait to get back now. I just want to marry my love." Christian whispered happily as I pulled a face and accidentally moved, which made Jake groan and tighten his grip on me while moving his head to lay on top of mine.

"We'll get Aurora back home master. Shame we don't have everyone else. They won't know what hits them when we arrive back home." Dominic said as I scrunched my eyebrows in thought just as one of the guards made a noise outside.

"Be quiet, you imbecile. I need a drink." Christian mumbled, and they both walked away. I turned my head to look at Joshua, who was in deep thought.

"They're planning something, aren't they." I whispered to Joshua, who nodded his head, and I could see plans forming in his head. I leaned my head back against Jake's chest and started to think of ways of how we could get out of this mess.

It was pitch black outside still, and I could only imagine it's just gone past midnight. I tried to think of an idea, but nothing came to me until half an hour passed, and Joshua got my attention.

"The only thing I can think of that will work is if one of us escapes. We've done it before. We can do it again." Joshua whispered as he played with a stick. I nodded my head in agreement as it was our only idea we've had, and we might as well go with it.

Before I could say anything, there were footsteps stumbling towards the door. Joshua closed his eyes, but I didn't in time as a hand pushed it open, and a body stumbled through.

"Sleeping beauty is awake." Christian slurred happily with a bottle of rum in his hand. The sound of the door slamming against the wall jolted Jake and Xavier awake.

"You're drunk. Go back outside." Xavier demanded as Christian laughed and fell back into the chair and threw his head back.

"Don't ruin my night anymore. I've finally got my bride who is in love with another man. Don't you belittle me now, Xavier." Christian drunkenly said while sipping more of his rum. I shook my head and looked up to Jake, who sat up straighter.

"Go outside, Christian, please. Don't hurt yourself." I whispered and reached for Jake's hand as Christian turned to look at me. A smile appears on his face, and he stands up.

"Here she is. The woman of my dreams." Christian said, stumbling over to where Jake and I are sitting. Jake quickly sat up and tried to push himself in front of me as Christian bent over to look at me.

"Don't get any closer." Jake demanded Christian, who dropped his smile instantly and turned to look at Jake, who pushed me behind me slightly.

"The man of the hour. The one who took my bride from me and is now expecting not one but two children at once with her." Christian grumbled angrily, and with the small bit of light coming through, I could see the anger building.

"Calm down. DOMINIC." Xavier shouted while trying to calm Christian down, who tightened his grip on his bottle of rum.

"You really are so beautiful. Tell me why you don't love me, Aurora." Christian said while reaching forward with his free hand and trying to touch my face. In fear he was going to smack me, I leaned away and hid more into Jake.
