"WAKE UP." The sound of guards shouting aggressively jerked me awake. But that wasn't all. As soon as I heard the shouting, freezing cold water was poured over me.
"AH." I shouted in surpise before I started to choke as the water went down my throat. My coughing didn't stop, so I sat up on Jake's lap, who groaned in frustration when he felt all the water on us.
"COME ON." Another guard shouted and banged on the cell as I gasped when the burning sensation grew in my throat.
"What a wake-up call." Jake mumbled behind me as Xavier sat up and shook his head. All the water flying everywhere from my brother's head.
"This is how we're woken up each morning." The man who gave up his seat on the bed said. I looked over and saw him and the others looking at us.
"STAND UP." The guard in our cell shouted before throwing the bucket of water over us again. I squealed and put my hands up as I felt the water cover me again, but it did nothing.
"Stop." I whispered as we stood up to face the guards. My hair covered my face completely, and it was beginning to look like spaghetti noodles.
"Did the princess say something." A guard teased as another bucket of freezing cold water was thrown on me. Only me.
"Right. That's enough." Xavier demanded while standing in front of me as Jake pulled me behind him.
"Every morning, they pick on something. Looks like it's you." A man whispered in my ear. I jumped into Jake, who spun around, and we looked at the man who looked similar to Reggie.
"If you want breakfast. I suggest missy walks over here." A guard demanded as everyone turned around to look at me. I saw the desperate expressions on their faces, so I took a step forward but was immediately pulled back by Jake.
"Don't worry. You'll be going to." Another guard said while opening the gate and walking in fully.
"Prince Christian wishes for Princess Aurora to have a private breakfast with him." A guard demanded as he walked down the stairs and into our cell. I looked at the guard who spoke before realising it was the man from last night.
"To hell with that." Xavier demanded as the guards started to laugh hysterically before they started to pull everyone out.
"She doesn't have a choice." The guard said as he came in. This time, I was able to see him clearly. Tall, brown hair, brown eyes, and I could see freckles on his cheeks. But he wasn't old, maybe a few years younger than me.
"Caleb Matthew's. The newbie." The big broad guard said before laughing as the guard who was staring at me is called Caleb.
"Prince Christian demanded it. I'm only doing my duty." Caleb demanded while stepping closer to the other guard. The arms that were held around me only grew tighter as Caleb turned to face me.
"No way is my wife going anywhere with you." Jake demanded as he pulled me behind him again as Xavier stood on the other side.
"After what you did last night to Milo, you've got nothing to argue about." Caleb replied back to Jake, who I could tell was glaring at the boy. My hands gripped the back of Jake's forearms in hopes of calming him down as I felt his muscles clench.
"I'll come." I said suddenly and walked fast towards the gate. I knew Jake and Xavier weren't going to calm down anytime soon, and the other poor men around us were starting to get agitated.
"Come on." Caleb demanded quickly and pulled me out just as Jake and Xavier sprinted towards the gate that slammed closed to stop them from getting out.
