Chapter 39

No one spoke as we rode in the direction Rosanna was whispering to Xavier. My head stayed against Jake's chest, who was kissing my forehead continuously as we followed behind Xavier and Rosanna.

Next to us was Juliet and Connor, who was whispering quietly between themselves as no one wanted to speak out loud. I sighed when I heard Rosanna say to turn left at the next turning.

"You okay." Jake whispered as I turned and sat up slightly as the other position started to hurt my back.

"Just keep thinking about the children. If they got out." I whispered as Jake rubbed my legs softly before pulling at the reigns as we came to a stop.

"We'll have a break. A few hours away from sunrise." Xavier said as he jumped down and looked at us. I couldn't help but let out a yawn as Jake pulled me down, and I fell against his chest.

"Falling for me now." Jake teased when I stood straight and chuckled at him before walking over to Vanessa, who was leaning against a tree.

"Exhausted." Vanessa whispered as I yawned again and leaned against the tree next to her. I nodded and closed my eyes as I felt the effects of mine and Jake's love making coming into effect, and now I want to sleep.

"Where did you and Jake go." Rosanna asked, which made me jump and open my eyes to see her standing in front of me and wiggling her eyebrows.

"I couldn't sleep." I whispered as Jake walked past us with Connor following and into the trees.

"When have we heard that before." Juliet teases, which made me chuckle and stick out my tongue before walking behind to tree to go and do my business.

"Mrs Wilson is coming." Connor teased while walking past just as Jake looked around the tree he was standing behind.

"When we ride again. You're sleeping." Jake demanded after I finished my business and wrapped my arms around Jake's waist.

"I've got hay in places they shouldn't be." I whispered against Jake's chest, who laughs loudly and looks at my hair before reaching up and pulling out a piece of hay.

"What's funny." Xavier said, coming towards us as I glared at Jake's hand before turning around and walking towards the horses as Jake tells Xavier a lie.

"You look shattered." Chris says, looking as I walk towards the horse in front of him. I nodded and yawned again as Jake walked back up the hill.

"Sex. That's why you two were already awake. Aurora is exhausted because of Jake." Joshua says, smirking as Jake nods his head proudly before picking me back up on the horse and jumping up behind me.

"Gross. But we would be gone if you weren't awake." Joseph said while jumping up behind Thomas. I smiled and leaned back into Jake, who lays his hands on our bump.

"You know what I just thought of." Juliet says while jumping up next to us again. I looked over at her and saw Juliet smiling.

"What." Vanessa said behind us. I yawned again before leaning down to get some of our water and started to drink some.

"Aurora is growing a boys carrot inside of her." Juliet said before laughing hysterically as I choked on the water I was drinking and coughed badly.

"Lovely." Rosanna said before laughing at my expression. I looked over at Juliet as I've really just gathered what is growing inside of me.

"A carrot." Some of the men said, and I laughed as they sounded offended before looking to Jake, who was trying not to laugh but started to chuckle when he saw my face.

"Thank you for the information, Juliet. Stop talking about my son's carrot now." I said before laughing as Juliet started to laugh at my response. I leaned my head back against Jake's shoulder, who was laughing himself.
