San's POV
"I mean... at least you didn't get physical haha," Wooyoung said awkwardly as he rubbed his nape, trying his best to cheer his friend up.
It was a Wednesday evening and San had Yeosang and Wooyoung over. He told them about his recent interaction with his neighbor and how guilty he felt, knowing he took things too far.
"I mean, as you claim you don't really like her so why does it bother you so much that you made her upset?" Yeosang asked.
"You don't get it, My father called me and enraged me with his comments and unwanted opinions on me and Hana that morning, And instead of getting angry at him I took the anger out on Nabi, I was too harsh."
"Not you liking herr" Wooyoung said eagerly as he grinned, "I was wondering when you would notice how cute and attractive she is."
"Stop thinking with your dick and use your brain for a second, will you? I just said I feel bad, what does her being attractive have to do with this?"
"Okay, but why is your father still bothering you, didn't you talk to him?" Yeosang asked causing San to scoff.
"you're forgetting how much of an arrogant asshole he actually is. I just can't comprehend why the fuck he's so obsessed with controlling my life. I'm almost 30 and he's treating me like I'm still a teenager. I left the home, and his company, and said no to the heritage what else can I do? move to another country?"
"No, but Hana isn't even that bad why are you so against of marrying her?" Wooyoung asked as he took another sip of his beer earning a death glare from Yeosang.
"You marry her then, I'm not interested in marriage, let alone an arranged one."
"Just ignore him San, there's not anything else you can do really, maybe once he gets no reaction from you he'll realize he has no power over you and leave you alone finally."
"Or maybe the time will come in handy and he'll die from old age."
"Wooyoung Stick with drinking and quit talking," Yeosang said as he gave a pat on the youngest back.
"Okay, enough of my father now tell me what to do with Nabi."
"I wouldn't be able to help on this one, I'm never mean to ladies," Wooyoung said, grinning before Yeosang smacked his head.
"What did I say about you talking?" he said sternly as Wooyoung pouted a frown.
"I mean you can talk to her and explain that you didn't mean what you said maybe she'll listen."
***
The sun had set and night had fallen. Wooyoung and Yeosang left since they both had work tomorrow so they didn't want to get home too late. San was currently on his bed, staring at the ceiling, lost in thoughts. No matter how much he tried he couldn't get the girl's teary eyes out of his mind.
As his neighbor corrupted his mind, his phone, sitting on the nightstand next to the bed, flashed the dark room. San held out his hand, grabbing his phone only to find out it was his father calling him. The man sighed as he put the phone back on the nightstand and laid back down before he heard a knock on his door. 'It's 10 Pm who could it be?'
Standing up, the boy went to the door, opening it only to come across a very familiar face, which he couldn't put his finger on where he had seen.
"Hi, you probably don't remember me I'm Soojin, Nabi's friend, she is not at home and not answering her phone so I was wondering if she was here?"
"Oh, Soojin hi, no she's not here, sorry." 'This is probably the last place she would want to be in but Soojin doesn't have to know.'
"Well, then can I leave something to you so you can give her if I'm not being too bothersome."
"Of course, it's not a problem." 'Actually, it is since she probably doesn't want to see my face at all but..'
"Oh thank you very much, here," she said as she handed a package to him. "Bye"
"bye," the boy closed the door as he looked at the package. 'where could she be this late?'
Putting the package on the coffee table in the living room San went back to the door, opened it and looked outside, checking if the girl had arrived yet.
'what the fuck am I doing' he closed it back and walked into the living room again.
An hour passed and then another as San kept on checking outside to see if the girl came back but there was no trace of her. He couldn't even realize he was overthinking before he started worrying, pacing back and forth in his living room before he heard shuffling from outside, He immediately approached his door and opened it as he saw Some guy with black and white hair carrying Nabi on his back.
"Nabi? What happened to her?" he asked, stepping closer.
"Oh, nothing she's drunk and sleeping, thankfully I finished my shift so I was able to get her home, can you help me open her door."
"Yeah of course" San answered as he took the keys from the boy and unlocked the door.
"I'm Hongjoong by the way, Nabi's friend."
"I'm San, nice to meet you."
"San?" the man snorted "You must be the famous neighbor she talked about the whole night."
San sighed "I'm assuming she didn't say anything nice.."
"Yeah.." The man smiled awkwardly before he walked inside the girl's apartment as San leaned on the door frame watching them. Hongjoong laid the girl on the couch before shaking her gently.
"Nabi you're home, wake up" The boy shook the girl again as the girl opened her eyes, yawning.
"What?" the girl asked feeling annoyed she got woken up as Hongjoon chuckled.
"Get ready for bed and go to sleep, you have work tomorrow, okay?"
"Okay."
"Will you manage alone?"
"yea you can leave, thanks for the ride Joongie" the girl answered smiling at the boy as he smiled back, patting the girl's head.
Seeing that she was awake and safe, San left the apartment going back to his.
'I'll talk to her tomorrow.'
