Chapter 5

The girl groaned out in pain as she clutched her head as the sound of a rooster woke her up. yes her alarm was the sound of a rooster. she claimed that it did a better job of waking her up.

"I really need to cut out alcohol," she said as she turned off her alarm and got up. after swallowing painkillers she did her usual morning routine, ate breakfast, and put on an outfit. she looked in the mirror to make sure she looked decent before she unlocked her door and stepped out seeing her handsome neighbor at his door. 

she let out a cough to gain his attention as she closed her door and started locking it. the boy glanced at her before he put the keys in his pocket and started walking towards the stairs only to get followed by the girl again, causing him to sigh.

"You know, my neck hurts because of you." 

San raised his eyebrow. "because of me? did I force you to sit on the cold ground like a sloth?" 

"I was very comfortable on the floor, thank you very much. my neck wasn't hurting before you threw me on the sofa! And I don't sit like a sloth!" she said as San gave her an annoyed look.

"What? My neck is very fragile," she said as she rubbed her neck, acting like it was aching.

"I feel like you should totally give me a ride today. not only my neck, but my head is hurting as well!"

"Stop being an alcoholic and both of your problems will be solved." he gave her a fake smile before he continued looking forward.

"oh c'mon please It's not even that far only like a 15-minute ride," she said as they approached his car. "I promise I'll be quiet the whole ride I won't annoy you," she said smiling causing the man to roll his eyes "Get in," he said as he got in himself making the girl smirk in satisfaction as she sat in the passenger's seat.

San started the car. it didn't even take a minute before the girl started talking again. "you're even more handsome while you're driving" Nabi said as she stared at the boy, smirking before she got the dirtiest look from him causing her to drop her smirk as she looked forward.

"I bet you're an only child, you have that vibe." she continued after a few seconds causing the other to sigh. "can't you just keep quiet just for a minute at least?"

"What do you mean? I didn't say anything for the first minute we got in, did I?" she said as San bit his lip to avoid cursing out the girl out of frustration.

"Are you wearing contact lenses right now or were you wearing the glasses just as an accessory the other day?" 

"I'm wearing lenses." he decided to answer after he realized he couldn't prevent having a conversation with the girl.

"I like you with glasses, why would you wear lenses?" San didn't know how to answer that. he got somehow flustered at the girl's question but of course, didn't show it.

"I only wear glasses at home."

"I should visit you more often then," she smirked again.

"I actually lied, I never wear glasses at home."

"HA. so funny" she rolled her eyes. as San slightly smiled. it was such a small and short-lived smile the girl wouldn't notice it if she wasn't already looking at him.

"I should make a wish," she said with widened eyes causing the man next to him to get confused. "why?"

"I just saw you smile for the first time," she said as she smirked. this time San rolled his eyes at her "Not you smiling at things I say, you're so in love with me" she joked.

"remind me to never drive you anymore."

"oh, so you were going to drive me again? you're so enjoying this ride with me" she said causing the boy to scoff once again "You're unbelievable."

the girl's phone lit up with a new notification catching her attention: from Soojin♥: Are you alive?

she opened the chat, quickly replying

"Don't worry" the girl said as she put the phone back in her bag. "I was just texting Soojin." 

"worry about what?" the boy asked, feeling confused.

"that I'm texting other boys." she said smirking causing the boy to scoff "Thanks for notifying me I was actually fuming with jealousy." the boy answered with obvious sarcasm.

"I can imagine how cute you'll be while jealous." 

"oh my god" the boy groaned out in annoyance as he parked the car "We arrived, you can get out."

"you won't give me a goodbye kiss?" the girl joked, earning no response from the boy as he looked at her expressionlessly, causing the girl to smirk. "thanks for the ride Sannie," she said as she opened the door and got out.

"never call me that again." 

"bye Sannie!" Nabi said as she closed the door and left,  as the boy scoffed at her before he started the car again leaving for work.
